I've fish that river for so many times with swimbaits and never had any striper hit my swimbait. Unless I soak bait then they will eat it.

I only use a net in a tournament. And I could careless if they flop off at the boat I’m not keeping them anyways. Plus I hate using a net when there’s trouble hooks being used.
