Hey everyone, thanks a lot for watching my videos! 500 subs is a lot for me and I'd like to thank you with some more slinging hits. I love slinging and looking at the slow motion and I am glad that you seem to like it too! Keep slinging!

Slinging is a great hobby. Some unasked for advice: Make your pouch as narrow as you can get away with, it will greatly improve your accuracy. Or launch a tennisball and notice the difference in accuracy. Thanks for the video!

great shots. and nice sling. If i may offer a few tips. Don't waste your rotations with absent intent. be confident in every rotation as an acceleration building for a release of accumulated centrifugal force. Not aimless spins culminating to a singular power stroke. Try using a set number of rotation that you're comfortable. a low and simple number of rotations like 3. and release at the same point in the rotation. use every rotation as a power stroke. BUILD SPEED- BUILD SPEEED -BUILD SPEEEED - FIRE! each and every time. the more time you spend spinning without aiming or intentionally gaining acceleration is wasting energy and adding variables of timing with every rotation absent of intent. try to use the figure 8 technique. It works very well for the build-build-build-fire concept. You can even use your other hand to throw the pouch downward when you start the initial rotation jumpstarting the process with even higher momentum!

Just got my paracords and am waiting for them to arrive to make my first sling. Excited. Recommended length of sling? Length of pouch? Thickness of paracord (already ordered but worth asking)? Nice slinging. Edit: that shot at around 2 minutes very nice.

Awesome! I like a 32-34" sling with a 7ish inch pouch. Experiment with them! Once you make your first one you won't be able to stop!

@@roaddog7080 Cool man thanks very much for the reply (late reply from me but actually didn't see your answer; guess because KZbin likes to suspend me every once in a while for no reason while citing BS). Sounds great. I'm aiming to make one right around 80 cm so just slightly shorter than the 32" (according to conversion). Am actually making it currently. Screwed the measurement up entirely on the first attempt, so that will end in a mini-sling less than half length, for some reason so guess that's a learning one I can gift that to a child later. Now on last set of strings but will for sure make more (first time but it's fun to just make the stuff); just takes forever for cords to get here so need to order more next time. Have gotten the important knots down now (for double fingerloops + stopknot(s) below) and have learnt the 4 string braid; never done that before. Next will be the pouch. Am looking for a decent place to learn; unsure how to best incorporate the extra strings atm (?). Any ideas? Made a try-braid on the smaller sling but it seems on of the main strings didn't land on the proper side for it. You are doing single finger loop on your ring finger from the looks of it? Pros/cons compared to the double loop versions? Accuracy? Comfort? More accuracy/comfort on one finger or the other? Specific tips for accuracy (yours seems decent) other than "practice" (which is a given)? Another couple of questions. Your pouch seems to be open (?). Any experience with cross string "smiles" (as I see people online have dubbed them) or just open as is (heard projectiles can sometimes slip out from the middle)? If smiles; do those have to be paracord too or can they be something else (found some pretty good rubber bands, meant to sit on backside of a ventilation grate, that seem decent for the purpose but am not sure. Haven't even slung a single thing yet but (from other activities I enjoy) yeah you're right; can already tell this hobby will be very addicting. Started looking at ideas for making clay ammo, for consistency in ammo, as well. Edit: got the idea to introduce string 5-6 by just put a clothing pin on the braid, doing the harlequin-looking knot (Turk's knot I think it's called?), place a tennis ball in between, another of those knots, braid the rest and finish with just weaving the pouch last. Figure this is 1. easier 2. easier to replace the pouch if it breaks (since it's not incorporated into the braid itself) but don't know if it holds up to the stress. Bad idea?
