My favorite fall movie of all time is the HIGHLY underrated “The Ghost and Mrs. Muir” and it’s a gorgeous black and white film about a beautiful widow, the ghost of a sea captain and a quirky house by the seaside. It’s not necessarily set in fall, but the cool wind from the sea, the dark ambiance, sweeping sad music and the haunted house just do it for me. Please watch it if you haven’t. You will love it. 👻 🌊 🏡

I would recommend this book called “This Book Kills” by Ravena Guron. It’s a murder mystery set in a boarding school surrounded by a forest. Some parts of the book feel vintage and old, like old haunted tunnels. And the main characters boyfriend dies, someone stabbed him in the back, out in the forest. So she and her best friend are on a mission to find out who the murder is. It’s a murder mystery, and a little romance in the end. I hope you enjoy! 😊

I just started feeling Fallish today, the last day of September, and though I rarely reread books, I felt like I really wanted to pick up a couple of my cozy faves to read and get me more in the mood. My first book starts in the Autumn and is actually a manga-Our Dining Table by Mira Ori. Seriously the cutest and most wholesome romance where one of the two male MCs has a little brother they take care of. The other is Much Ado About You by Samantha Young (SO much better than her other book for anyone who has read that one and didn’t like it). It takes place in quaint English village where the female MC goes on holiday and takes on a temp job working in a bookstore there. This one actually starts in May but it just has cozy Autumnal vibes anyway. She meets a man and his dog - one of my all-time favorite romance novels! Ooh - and Amazon just delivered my new Fall read, “House of Roots and Ruin” by Erin A. Craig! I loved “House of Salt and Sorrows” by that author!! Perfect for October!

omg yes to the boo box!!! my bestie and i started doing that last year!! I got her pyjamas, a witchy t shirt, halloween candle, halloween socks, a little halloween decor item, a maleficent mug, cute halloween sparkly cup and some candies! I put it all in a $1 cauldron, covered it in spiderwebs and little bat lights and she LOVED it!! she also got me pretty much the same and it was sooo fun! we gave ourselves a budget of about $50!

Thoroughly enjoyed this video! I don’t know what it is about this year, but I am, for the first time, happy to say goodbye to Summer and enjoy the change of seasons. I’ve already decked out the living room in earthy toned pumpkins and am styling a vintage apothecary on my display shelf. Having tons of fun with it and my house is smelling delicious. I want you to know that it is very refreshing seeing a woman like you doing what you do. I am only in my 30s, but have been struggling with depression and judgements from unhappy people about marriage and children which it is my right not to do or want. I like baking, everything autumn and setting goals and doing small things that make me feel alive and happy. Scooby Doo on Zombie Island is my favorite. We are very much alike. Happy to subscribe to your channel. We need more people like you. Every year, usually in September, i start my rewatch of the Good Witch Series (First the movies, then the TV show) because i love it so much. It's so wholesome and cozy, some would even say cheesy, but i don't mind. It gives me good vibes and let's me forget about the problems in the real world. My two favorite books of August were Sense and Second-Degree Murder (a Jane Austen retelling) and The Cosy Cottage in Ireland. I really enjoyed them :)

Unfortunately I suffer from seasonal depression so the darkest months of the year (November, December, January) are quite difficult for me... Not because of the weather (I prefer cool, rainy falls and cold, snowy winters to dry, hot summers!) but because of darkness. Might I recommend Legends & Lattes? It’s a cozy story about an orc who decides to quite the adventurer life and opens up a coffee shop in a place where no one’s heard of coffee. It’s really sweet and has a little bit of adventure towards the end of the story. There’s magic and romance and it’s overall a wonderful story. Genuinely one of my favorite books.

One of my favorite things to do in the autumn and one of my most favorite sounds is listening to maple leaves falling. When the leaves are just the right (big, full and not at all crunchy) the trees slowly release a leaf or two. When it is perfectly timed you can hear the leaves land in the softest of sounds, like the potter patter of a quiet rain. I lovingly call it maple [leaf] rain.

Thank you for so many wonderful suggestions. I have several I’m now adding to my my Fall bucket list. I’ve always hopped on the pumpkin bandwagon, only to realize every year that I don’t really like pumpkin spice (no judgement please 😊). But, apple or maple, that’s something I can embrace. Also planning on participating in doing the ghost paintings. Have you seen those all over social media? You find a thrifted painting and turn it into a ghost/pumpkin/fall filled painting. I’ve seen it done with lots of landscapes or house paintings and just yesterday saw one with a fishing boat; it was amazing. Just be sure the painting or print you choose is not worth anything. Try to find something that’s either mass produced or just a cheap one. Would be scary indeed if you painted over a valuable piece of art.
