Darnell farms and downtown Bryson city were flooded. Im sure Darnell’s Pumpkins were swept away. It’s amazing and very fortunate that things have gotten to the point that they are.

I saw a video done at Darnell Farms right after the flood and he said he lost a lot. It looks like a small fraction of what he usually has. Glad to see he opened. Hope he's getting support!

My family and I just visited for the Polar express ride and we just loved this little city. Definitely an option to become our home if we decide to leave Columbia. I would’ve loved to see it before the M stuff reached it. lol jk, it’s one of the most beautiful things I’ve seen recently.❤

What a nice town, I would like to visit again, spend more time, visited at least 20 years ago, ate lunch in a local diner where the fire chief and barber were eating there too, kind of gave a Mayberry vibe, good memories. You had gorgeous weather!

Oh wow. It's so beautiful there. We're from Florida and we were supposed to go there next month and rent out a cabin. But because of the hurricane we didn't think that we could drive up there from Florida with the roads being closed.😢

Bryson city is usually jampacked with people this time of the year and I can’t believe how quiet it is. I feel so bad for the businesses because those that are there in North Carolina are really struggling.

Yeah, I put a reply to will. And dawn, we wanted to go in November. What we didn't know if we could travel there from Florida with the roads being closed, so we had a switch and go to Blairsville. Georgia instead

Yea, my problem traveling from the south is road closures. We just cannot do a 8 hour or so drive where it would have been just a few hours.

When I first began looking for a home in the Smokies for retirement, I first tried this town, but the real estate agent didn't call me until I had already bought my condo!! I still like this town. The grandchild loves the Christmas train to the North Pole annually.🎄👍🏼

It wasn’t just like the get what you need and go type of life, but more like sit a while and take in the scenery and just enjoy your day type thing. I’d love to had seen the railroad ride. I knew that Bryson City sounded familiar. When you mentioned about the train, I recall that my daughter and grandson took the train trip from there a couple years ago now. They stay at their trailer in Gatlinburg when they visit Tennessee area and one of their trips was to Bryson City as it turns out. They said they had a wonderful time there.

They were not affected. My brother and his wife just went through there and they went over the Smoky Mountain Parkway to pigeon Forge. All is good in that area.
