Okay I totally do not mean this in a mean way, I'm more enquiring. This video (my first I've watched of you) is cut in a way that there's no pause in between some phrases, but since it's a jump cut you can tell that there was a pause. And I've seen others edited this way and was wondering if like a whole new strand of conversation was edited out between the two cuts, or if you just cut it when there was an unnecessary pause to make the video concise? That probably doesn't make sense but I've always been really curious about videos with frequent jump cuts.

Missy Minnick I think she cuts out parts where she stutters or says "um", but who knows, maybe she is cutting out a whole sentence or two. If you are making a documentary (I'm not sure what style but this is just what I observe from most of the ones I've seen) I think it adds character and a sort of documentary-like aspect to leave in the imperfect parts :) I hope this helped in any way

I noticed a lot of comments about jump cuts so I just wanted to say this... duh there's jump cuts. Its a video of Mel sitting down the whole time and a jump cut is defined as a cut in the same setting or clip that has noticeable movement. Of course she's going to have jump cuts. She's supposed to because she's only sitting down. The only way for her not to have any jump cuts in these kinds of videos is if she filmed it straight then posted immediately after. No intention of sounding mean, just a note.
