Absolutely the BEST time here in SE SD is late Oct. as soon as the water hits 30 anything go out pre dawn with a shallow diving jerk bait and give it a slow roll back to you in any body of water that has walleye from the bank. If you have a head light all you see in the rivers and lakes is a swarm of eyeballs coming at you chasing your lure.
