Whaling is illegal in most country’s. Where did this happen? 😭

it’s our tradition, we don’t do it for oil and perfume, for the meat and what we call muktuk, and we have Rules of whaling, if you catch baby whale or a whale with a baby you get a 5 year ban and a fine

It is allowed in AK for subsistence. This is how these people eat. Welcome to the real world.

Okay, I don't get it, I watched the full clip and I never once saw a harpoon or a fire arm, you guys just circled that whale until it died?
@TheEpicShark2 жыл бұрын
Glad you enjoyed the vid home slice. Yes a harpoon does enter the whale when it's caught. The whale we circled that day was not caught.

@Kris De Roo Still what am I missing here? Was the moment the whale was shot cut out?

@Kris De Roo Okay then, my bad, correct me.

@Kris De Roo Mistake on my part, I should have said early 20'th century. The History books I read were saying that even back in 1920 the scientific community were ringing the alarm bells about the stocks of whales being too depleted.
