I have always loved everything Autumn, even though I just finished a "mermaid" summer sweater. I also like my purples, periwinkles, teals, and black. :). However, we get a nip in the air, and I am wanting to knit the pumpkin, burgundy, browns and creams, with gold. So, this is what I do. I have a tub that is just fall colors. I go through my stash for single skeins, or if there's enough for a cowl/sweater, or blanket. Then I play with the yarns that I have and come up with a project or two to get me "jazzed" without breaking the bank. I had to pick up a couple of colors I didn't have for a stash buster afghan (Christmas Cookie crochet along), and I only purchased one Impeccable "Unforgettable Red Heart" dupe. I saw a candy corn pillow while there, and thought, "I have those colors, AND the stuffing. I am making my own" Win!! Love your thoughtful videos, and perspective. Thank you!

I love how you figure out what yarns to meld together. You're very clever. I'd be interested how much yarn your Walmart carries. The one in my area is very limited. My Dollar Tree doesn't carry yarn for some reason. I can see where it would be handy if you only needed a small amount.

I agree about keeping the hook with the WIP. The number of times I haven't and...well, you obviously know from experience! I love all things autumn but the oranges and rust and gold aren't my colours to wear. Plum and Teal are scrummy though. I'm really enjoying witnessing you collect the colours you know work for you. Doesn't it make decision-making about colour choices so much easier?

I found yarn at my Dollar Tree once, a few weeks ago, and there was nowhere near that kind of selection. I saw two boxes, two types and only a few color choices. I was still excited to find any at all. Still looking for the hooks!!

Can you tell me where in Dollar Tree they put the yarn on the shelves. I have a small DT by my house and 3 more that are reasonable to get to. I have gone in 2 of thev4 stores and walked every aisle to find the yarns. To only come out without seeing any yarns.You are the 2nd KZbin host to share Just Yarns. Juan the Yarn Addict crocheted a blanket with a bunch of DT size Just Yarns. Right now I am starting a sweater for Fall/Winter with the brand New Lion Brand Mandala Gradient yarns. I'm so excited to get it started! The yarn just delivered to my house.

I wish it was standard!!! But I’ve never been in any DT that was actually organized! I feel like it’s always a mystery. Although it does seem like if they do carry yarn (not all do) that it’s usually near the craft supplies, but not always. It’s so crazy!!!
