This is my arrangement of Fallen Down (Reprise) that is made by Toby Fox. Fallen Down (Reprise) is the 85th track in the Undertale Soundtrack. It is played at D Major. I've arranged it so there's a playable bass part in the song.

What was your reasoning for putting everything up to 1:23 in 6/8 instead of 3/4? Because to me, the beginning sounds more like 3/4. But I do agree with the part starting from 1:23 being 6/8. I'm just wondering, you might have a perfectly valid explanation for this.

I don't consider this as a valid explanation to your question, but it just feels better to use 6/8 over 3/4. The beginning part up until the time you mentioned doesn't really sound like a 3/4 for me because of how it's played in the bass clef. The only accented note is the first note. Compared to the part you mentioned (the second part), it has two accented notes on the first note and the fourth note. It creates that waltzy feel I consider as a 3/4.

@@wenload I see what you're trying to say. But the bass really does not make me feel like it's 6/8. It feels more like a counter-rhythm to me that complements the melody. But aren't there also many parts where you have an eighth note and an eighth rest repeated 3 times. That seems to me like every eighth note is then a beat of the measure, which would make it 3/4. I've tried to interpret the music as 6/8 btw, had to really force myself, with a beat every 3 8th notes, but it still feels kinda odd. Possible, but odd in my opinion. I'm not asking you to change your sheet music btw. I've actually learned from this that people can interpret music in lots of different ways apparently :D! I wish you a great day!
