lol I get the joke but I think they already had two homes, now they have one 🤔 or maybe they have three now. From what it sounds like this was their vacation home. “The kids hadn’t been there since they were young”. Hopefully this wasn’t their only home

Good luck getting your neighbor's insurance to do anything about it. This is why I think trees belong in the forest and parks. They can get so big and unmanageable. If your neighbors do not want to do anything about it you are pretty much waiting for something bad to happen. If the tree is on your property you have to pay for the pruning or eventual removal.
