Honestly, watching the Weather Channel is my absolute FAVORITE memory as a child for so many reasons. Totally agree. The words drifting across the screen, just like the snow flurries outside. There is something so soothing about just thinking about the weather. I used to watch the weather channel quite a bit as a teen back in the late 90's and early 2000's. I used to have it while I would think. The music they had on there relaxed me and the weather people were easy going. Remember this was before I and many other people had the internet and this was what we used to do.

My sweet grandparents (born in the early 20s, so from a VERY different era) didn’t have cable TV at their house, so I was stuck with whatever was on one of the 12 channels (4+ were straight static), and PBS kids programming concluded at 5pm, so many an evening was spent at grandma and grandpa’s kitchen TV watching Local on the 8’s. Good times.

Not at all! There's a lot more of us than you would think! For me, I started in 1987, going to my grandmothers on the weekends where she had cable. (we didn't at home) When I found that they had a 24/7 weather channel, I was hooked from then on...and having the smooth jazz during the awesome local forecasts?! Simply bliss!

Seeing the weather from Wilmington, my home town, is surreal in that Iv'e probably seen this exact weather report when it was live. Given the date says Saturday January 2nd, its most likely 1993.

I just had a fantastic brief lapse of mental fluidity with describing what I am listening to. At first i thought frutiger aero era tutorial music, and then started thinking of "signalwave". I then thought of that leap point from vaporwave and that feeling of not having a "footing" in what i am listening to because I am listening to something that is new. And that entire train of thought got me so happy, i love this genre of music for what it makes me think, feel, and its ability to grow.
