That's what I say, no drugs, except for good music. Frankly, I am very and really happy to see you finally overcame the "disease" and you video really touched me.

Your video brought me to tears. I was researching telemetry units for my 15 year old son. Everyone's situation is different but I could feel the pain and frustration in your song and story. My son was bipolar and has several abnormal EEGs but no seizures. He's been on several meds since he was 10. He's been in and out of psych units until I had to put him in residential treatment almost a year ago. My heart breaks but reading your story gives me hope at a time I need it most. I've always worried that meds could be causing a lot of the problems but I have hope we will find answers. I love the cover by the way. Thank you for sharing your experience. From a humbled musician...

Well done my friend. Well done.Serves as an added tribute to the tragic and talented Vincent Crane. Crane’s torment robbed us of plenty more music like this. A brilliant musician.I urge anyone interested to listen to British band Dexys Midnight Runners album; Don’t Stand Me Down. Vince Crane playing the keys just as good as ever.

I'm really glad you chose the work of Vincent Crane of Atomic Rooster. I first listened to Atomic Rooster when I was a teenager and have recently re-discovered them. Vincent was a genius and your version of this song is brilliant. Hope you are getting better.

+Peter Studd Thanks for the kind comments to you and all who have added comments here. I'm truly fortunate in that since that time, I have been seizure free. The night disturbances that were originally misdiagnosed as a form of epilepsy still occur from time to time, but I've realized that mostly they appear to be a barometer for stress.

I have loved this song since it was first released. It has always been like an old, wise, comforting friend. It appears that you had the same response, with the song serving as both an echo of your deepest self and a blessing from somewhere beyond. Your personal history makes your performance all the more real and heartfelt, and my hat goes off to you for being so courageous. God Bless you!

I came to your video by searching for the Atomic Rooster song. The video is great musically, and visually - and it's a fascinating, touching story. Congratulations to you for the music and the video, and to your wife for probably saving your life.

Your song not only brought tears to my eyes, but also illuminates the inner struggle of every persons experience living with a seizure disorder. I have epilepsy and your song exemplifies the experience of one's world truly falling down with every successive seizure they have.

That is a heartrending story my friend,'I am happy for you that you have finally got things under "control".We place too much trust in Doctoring,,,and they are only too happy to give a pill...pills do not cure..they mask..or in your case screw you up. Finally,,,that was a great rendition of Nobody Else...Rooster were and are still one of my favourite bands. thank you,,,stay cool..trust in yourself.

Thanks Igblutz, wow, this was exactly 10 years ago now. It was a life changing event for me, and in retrospect, helped me bring focus into my life about what is really important. Thankfully, I've been fine ever since, and as you can probably see in my latest videos, still rockin'!

@Drewmo2000 I apologize for this very late reply haha. This is Haza54 i've just got a new account because youtube accused me of copyright infringment, but ah well. They're both lovely guitars, especially the one you made. I love the lines that run up the fret board and on the guitar. Again, beautiful cover and really glad you got better :-)

Fantastic job on that song and a riveting story, it confirms what i have said about the medical industry, no longer a humanitarian endeavor, strictly for profit

5 years on, and I'm feeling better than ever! Fully recovered, I'm now playing in a fun band, Fossil Farm, churning out rock and roll - its definitely the best medicine there is (check out our videos!).Thanks to everyone for your kindness and support! Keep on rockin'! Drewmo

Thanks Haza... it was a tough time: now, almost 3 years on, I'm still doing just fine... The guitar that I'm playing, I made myself some time back. Seymour Duncan pickups give it the nice sound. The other one, later in the video, is a Westone 1A.

really nice version!!!! sad history hope its just history right now. i would like to learn to play the piano part do you have any midi that can help me?? i would appreciate it so much. thanks and hope your good.
@JonathanAnon14 жыл бұрын
Hey Drewmo, I just came on here to say thanks for that piece you wrote on the Audigy 2 CC93 and CC91 for MIDI... this had been causing trouble since I bought the card but I assumed that it was just an issue with Cubase. Card works perfectly now.. Why do Creative make things so difficult..? Sorry to hear about your other trouble.. find it baffling that your doctors did not see the linear relationship between dosage and number of seizures.. As one who has had a few seizures myself.

Hey, mate, I don't know how you managed! How horrific! I stumbled across your posting at random as well. I too have heard the original version of this but yours is equally good! I wonder what Joy Division frontman/lead vocalist Ian Curtis (who genuinely did suffer from epilepsy, the grand mal variety, which is the aggravated form) would have made of your story? Anyway, I wish that you are on the improve for good. Cheers.

Hi! I was wondering where you got the sheet music to this song, because I have been looking all over for sheet music and MIDI files. But can't find anything..

Drewmo2000 I love this performance. and this song. I am trying to learn it too, but I play a 12-string guitar. I'd appreciate any help. This is so emotional for me. It cements my conviction that progressive rock is so superior to indie rock garbage.

I am sorry to see what happened to you.I think your night terrors may be connected with out of body experiences.I was scared to death when I had them as a child. You are not crazy, and this is normal for certain people. You are a musician, maybe left handed, you might be gifted in ways you don't understand.Don't go to these idiots again unless you have a heart attack.I wish you the best.Again, remember what I am saying, you are having astral projections, not seizures. The jolt is from coming back in.

why did you take that at the first place?Go natural!Every medication has a side effect and eventually they will cease to work, just about 75% of tv commercials are from pharmacetical co. all they care about is profits!Hope your Ok now, this is a nice song from a great band,Vincent Cheeseman was on mediaction too untill he took his own life!
