I hear you. This is probably my most anticipated title on either PC or console right now. Love the slower, smaller, more intelligent approach to grand strategy, where seemingly every decision has pros and cons. I'd much rather command a smaller fleet where every ship feels like an important asset and every action has a consequence, than have another space RTS where I'm throwing away hundreds of ships in campaigns of mass attrition. It certainly doesn't hurt that the game looks incredible, and channels The Expanse in many ways. Stoked for this. Hope it has a great release and a bright future. Feels like the beginning of a franchise.

This game looks incredible, and has a lot of potential. Hope you include beam weapons eventaully. Seeing a beam punch through a hull and come out the other side would be awesome!

Very excited about this. Feels like you all are creating a delicious reduction of all the best strategy decision-making moments in other space RTSes and chucking out the tedium. I really feel like verticality would confuse the issue and not let you hone your thinking; like how 3D chess is a sh** show most of the time. It's neat looking, but something gets lost. What matters are the strategic decisions and their consequences, that's what part of these simulations is interesting. Absolutely love that you have crew members that advance to add that extra bit of heartbreaking loss to a bad maneuver. The visuals look entrancing. As the Napoleon in Time Bandits said, "I love tiny things hitting each other."

@@quercus3290 Larger ships and captains that you attach to rather than many disposable small ships hits different, surely. I’ll be playing both. (Not eve though. My buddy said it became a spreadsheet simulator for him.)

also interested in this. closest thing we have to this on console is stellaris, which ok but all content is locked behind a multitude of paywalls. falling frontier looks great id love to have it on next gen/on my ps5

It's designed for the PC, so it's unlikely there will be a console port until a good period of time after the full release.
