I felt this during my Umrah last month. When I saw the Prophet's Mosque (Nabawi) for the first time, I cried out loud. This experience was similar to what all the Sahaba felt. While I was in Madinah, all of my diseases relapsed, to the point where I couldn't even stand up during my prayers at the Prophet's Mosque due to the pain. But Alhamdulillah, after a few days, my condition improved. I also had the chance to meet many of the indigenous people of Madinah. Masha Allah, they were very kind and friendly. The day I left Madinah, I was crying very hard on the bus, especially when our Muthawif (guide) said, "Let's say goodbye to our Rasulullah SAW." It was a very heartbreaking moment. Now, it's been more than two weeks since I returned to my country. I won't lie; I always miss this city, and it brings tears to my eyes. Hopefully, Allah will invite me again to visit Madinah and Makkah.

The first time I went for Hajj, all those years ago, we first visited Madinah - it’s this beautiful, soft city of serenity. You feel at peace, there’s a grace and you just love being there. Sakeenah. It truly is the city of our Beloved النَّبِي مُحَمَّدٌ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ . We then went to Makkah and Makkah is very busy - I remember the car hooters, which is not so much now, and the constant movement of people. People from different countries are coming in and out of Makkah all the time to perform Umrah. And then you see the Kaabah and you love Makkah because you know you share this sight with the ambiyaah and the sahaabah. When you look up at the sky, is this the same sky they (the blessed ones) saw? And Makkah becomes special and loved in its own way with all its mubarak places, the Kaabah, the hajr Aswad, the Hijr Ismail, the Multazam, the well of Zam- zam (no longer accessible), the Maqaam Ibrahim, Safa and Marwa - and here, I always think of this amazing woman, Hajar, who had been a slave woman, whom لله سبحانه و تعالى had raised in darajah such that she became the wife of a Prophet, and that all of us - men and women - follow in her footsteps to this day, when we walk and raml between those two points. An example that if لله سبحانه و تعالى elevates you and honors you, then no one can bring you down. And outside of Makkah, the caves of Hira and Tur. The ibaadah of tawaaf that you do in Makkah, you can do nowhere else in the world. Makkah offers its own form of sakeenah. They are two different cities and we love them both. May we لله سبحانه و تعالى invite us all to His (SWT) Haram in Makkah, His (SWT) Haram in Madinah and His (SWT) Haram in Aqsa - Allahumma Aamin.

I just returned from ummrah alhumdulillah. As much as I loved Makkah there was a harshness amongst the locals there. I craved kindness and when I entered Madinah I found it. Kindness, peace and love. I felt the presence of our prophet and his sahaba as they walked the land before us.I did not want to leave and my heart is still in Madinah.❤

I am literally crying while listening to this. I miss Madinah so much. I miss praying in the prophet's mosque, I miss its mountains, I miss every dust of Madinah. I miss everything about Madinah. There is not a single city in the entire world I would like to live but Medinah. May Allah bring me back to this blessed land again. And let me die on the blessed soil of Madinah where our beloved Prophet Muhammad ﷺ used to walk. Ameen ya Rabbul Alamin. And I thank Allah immensely to give me something which is so precious, without me even asking for it. Little do we thank Allah for every blessings he bestows upon us without us even asking for it. Allahu Akbar !
