YAY! Thank you so much for doing my requests. I'm gonna send you more soon. Ronnie did say that on twitch it was 2 cameras. I was hoping you'd catch Corey Taylor! Ronnie's mom was on drugs and left him and his brother when he was a baby. His dad was too but got clean and raised them.

Correct his mom is/was a drug addict and she left when he was a kid. He himself has struggles with drugs and addiction and he worries that he has passed his addiction on to Willow. The guy in the video is Corey Taylor (from Slipknot and Stonesour) and he has a very similar relationship with drugs and his mother which is probably why they collaborated together on this song.
@janalea22124 жыл бұрын
actually for corey it was his dad who left him (listen to eyeless by SK) and he constantly moved around with his mom and her beating boyfriends leaving him rootless. so i guess it is a bit of a different life story but i guess they share the same pain and knowing what it feels like to be a drug addict as corey started using when he was around 12.

corey taylor was the guy doing the growling vocals in the song. i highly suggest you dive into his band slipknot's music. they're a nu metal band that combines metal with elements from hip hop. songs like spit it out and duality are great examples of what they're capable of.

That effect for the video is effectively a camera shake but done through orientation versus some button in an app, the fact that ronnie is the one writing these videos on top of the music is just insane. the dude is a pure artist. ** and yes, Ronnie does not know his mother, he never knew her. * edit: you said you watched his stream, did you know that there was a channel taking his reactions from his stream and putting them on YT but he struck a deal with them and they got hired to do the same but move the content to the actual FIR YT page?? pretty cool

Camera effect is achieved using two simultaneously rolling cameras side by side and then switch from one to the other during editing. Similar to the jump kick scene in the matrix from trinity.
@EPADproductions4 жыл бұрын
Think of it as closing and opening each eye separately so that only one is open at a time. Do it right now and you will see a similar movement of objects around you. only big difference is it looks like the cameras are at slightly different angles and not both looking straight on.

Did a quick skim through the comments and didn't see any explanation to the camera work. My theory is that they used 2 cameras mounted kind of side by side and then they're cutting between camera1 and camera 2 rapidly. The reason behind this theory is that you can do the same with your eyes. Try it. "Alternate blink" with your eyes rapidly while holding something in front of you like 2-3 inches away. Aaaand I just arrived at the point in the video where you suspect the same procedure :D I really gotta learn to watch the whole video before commenting..

A couple of fun facts on this song. During one of his streams, Ronnie talks about how Corey Taylor did this to just do it. Did not get paid or anything. Just the fact that is likes what Ronnie is doing and wanted to be a part of it. Second I do not know if you noticed go back to the first video and watch and you will see elements of this video flash in it like the Ronnie you see in the chainsaw part flashes in and out in the first video.
