Five years on, it’s wild how much FIR continues to change. Too many bands are afraid to change and they just fade into obscurity. Ronnie seems to have said “fuck that”.
@dontjinxxit51984 жыл бұрын
Little insight on the part with his daughter: the song was supposed to be about his life in jail. He was originally supposed to get out of jail in 2033 (or something) which explains why he is so unexcepting of it being 2033, and his daughter is older. He was scared of not being there for her all her life.
@GG-kn2se Жыл бұрын
If that’s true that’s really insightful /edit I can’t find a source for this so I don’t think it is true
@heatherlaforest23221 күн бұрын
The 2033 part had nothing 2 do with prison. He went 2 prison cuz he violated probation by bringing brass knuckles 2 a fight, so he was only in prison for 2 1/2 years. Some1 did die in the fight cuz someone from the other group brought a gun (assuming intent 2 kill) & out of self-defense Ronnie's friend shot the guy, who unfortunately died but it was ruled as self-defense. I believe it was in an interview Ronnie explained that he had a dream that he died in 2033 & his being "asleep 4 a long time" is when he was heavy in2 drugs.

Really liked the rap on this song, much better than Alone. Ive always felt like there was a lot of potential in mixing rap with metal or rock here in the 2010s. There jus isnt alot of rock artists who can honestly spit it like this. P.S. I dont think this is going to be on an album. pretty sure this and Losing my Mind were just singles.
