Why do so many good vocalist have backing vocals while they’re singing. Its almost like they don’t even have to sing. they can stop and talk and the song sounds basically the same. Mean if they did this on the voice or agt people would scoff. And the judges wouldn’t allow it. I don’t get it

I was just thinking the same thing. Dude clearly has a good voice, the backing tracks just drown him out.

There was something up with his vocals in the beginning. By the second song he was motioning for them to turn his vocals up and afterwards it sounded much better and clearer.
