Hi Jayda 'n Mr. InStiches *waving madly*!! 🤗 I just finished making this for my coworker, along w/ your fingerless gloves. A new coworker, young girl, and you can tell she is struggling. So, me being me. I made her a gift basket. Your ear warmers and gloves, cookies ☕, an extra large mug ☕, some cocoas and teas, and of course, a brand new ball of yarn and a few hooks enclosed of course with a little note sharing your website and KZbin channel! ♥ Thank you, thank you, thank you! You have totally brought out the "creative" in me! ♥

Hi Anita, it's a lovely gift set, we agree! We talked about things to make men (and boys) in one of our recent live streams :) Mr. InStitches' favourite recommendations were hats, toys (that are age and theme appropriate), definitely blankets, and even pillows!

Hey girl, lovin what you do. Do you include the initial cast on chain in the count of chains when you make your foundation chain row? I’m not making sense LOL
@JaydaInStitches5 жыл бұрын
Hi Anne, when you make a slip knot and put it on your hook, that is not yet a chain. You have to chain 1 before you have a chain. The other way of saying it is: the loop on your hook is not a stitch or a chain :)

I,m going to try to make this. I have a girlfriend that likes headbands in winter. I have a size 8hook only can u use this size hook
@JaydaInStitches6 жыл бұрын
Hi Susan! If you mean 8 mm, it's probably too big a hook for this pattern. If you mean US size 8 (5.00 mm) than it should be fine with a medium weight yarn (however it will be a little bigger than the one I'm making so be careful with first row sizing). If you mean a UK size 8 (4.00 mm) than that will be very close to what I used and just fine :)

I’ve seen this grouping of stitches used lots before, called a blanket stitch in one pattern. I’ve used it lots making the Bubbles Baby Blanket by Daneen St Amour. I believe I’ve completed around 13 of those blankets using only one strand of worsted weight yarn. It’s the perfect baby blanket, in my opinion. It’s not holey, so tiny fingers aren’t tangled in it. It doesn’t require a border. There isn’t any fringe either. Babies often put fringe in their mouths & choke on the fringe or the fuzz from it. The pattern is available on Ravelry & elsewhere.
@JaydaInStitches6 жыл бұрын
Hi Jane, it's a lovely classic stitch, and I agree, it's a great choice for baby blankets!

What does wk in crochet mean on a pattern
@JaydaInStitches6 жыл бұрын
Hi Ellen, most written patterns have a little legend on them somewhere that explain what the short forms mean. if for some reason it doesn't, then it helps to say the entire sentence out loud and often you'll be able to figure out the right word :)
@Fruitdelight1236 жыл бұрын
PS I do need some helt though, to get the leg warmers right :) no biggie it's just that the yarn for my friend is not as 'thick and stirdy' as the once I made; it is very soft merino, baby alpacka...so soft and I need to either go down in crochet needle size or something :)
@JaydaInStitches6 жыл бұрын
Hi! If you feel your stitches are too loose or too big then you want to go down a few hook sizes, if it's too tight, then go up a few hook sizes :) It sounds like really nice yarn!
@Fruitdelight1236 жыл бұрын
Hey there, thanx so much, Jayda! :) yes, I will try it out and see. And I'm making the headband as I write :) fits perfectly!! :) :)
