Nice to see they're still making timber cutters who are tough SOBs. You make it look a hell of a lot easier than it is Jake.
@jakemesa32118 ай бұрын
I appreciate that Steve, but I don’t know that I’m all that tough. I’m just a guy trying to do the best he can. I’ve been around some damn tough old school timber fallers. And I make no claims to be as tough as them. Nor do I possess the same skill set as some others out there.

Yeah, I know. That's what they all say, but I saw you fell 4 trees in under 5 minutes without breaking a sweat..@@jakemesa3211

Brother we all hope you have a good day and are safe every day your cutting timber. I was a chocker setter for 5.years and tended hook for 2 and I helped fall Trees for 3 years after tending hook for LA logging out of coquille. It's hard work but the money is good

Great videos. How's that saw working out for you? Any issues?
@jakemesa32118 ай бұрын
Thanks. This is my 372. The G395 is to heavy to pack around on this ground for this sized timber. I only have about 30hrs on the clone. So far not anything real major has gone wrong.

@@jakemesa3211I have been logging with a g395 among other saws for over a year now I've broke 2 recoils (switched to a Husqvarna one now no issues since) and I've killed two clone oiler gears I've switched to a Husqvarna oiler gear and I pull it apart to grease it once every other week been a great saw otherwise hope you have as good of luck

Thanks for the video. Been out on the coast and it doesn’t get much steeper than areas of that coast range. Video and pictures never do justice. Stay dangerous.

Jake, what’s your COMPLETE opinion on those Cannon light bars? I’m talking about things such as cost vs weight vs durability vs availability in certain sizes and gauges and ANYTHING else that you might be aware of. OH, that’s a spectacular video of you working on the general things that you do and some of the creative things that you do. Rock on Jake! 😊
@jakemesa32118 ай бұрын
I don’t have any experience with the cannon light bars. The bar I’m running is a husky light bar. It’s just a rebranded sugi hara bar. I’ve been running it since June. So far I’ve been happy with it, other than the paint quality which is nether here nor there. I’ve heard of them breaking or cracking, but I haven’t had any issues with that. They’re only 5oz lighter than a standard Oregon bar. But it does make a difference when packing it around for 6hrs. They’re $20 more than a standard Oregon bar in my area. To be honest I can’t give a full opinion on it until I wear it out. But as of now I’d say it’s a good bar and worth the little extra coin.

@@jakemesa3211 My mistake but I ALSO just didn’t know if you had any experience with the Cannon’s. Oh well…I‘ll eventually know.
