He & ted hankey were particular targeted I remember,like pantomime villains,but the boo boys & hecklers wanted to get them riled & get a responce which they did & in turn made it even worse for themselves! @Oliver McCall There's sexism for sure but the fact is that Fallon is receiving the ridiculous levels of attention that she is and has purely because she is female. That in itself is sexist to the male players, especially Dobey who won- but you'd think from the bias that he'd lost, and patronising to Sherrock. Never has somebody averaging 90-91 received so much coverage. It's not sexist to call out the double standards and partisanship of the crowd, media, commentators et al.

@Oliver McCall Sorry Oliver but you're trying to Americanise the use of the word sexism. Luis Cook except every time Mensur stepped up to the oche he was SHOWERED with booing. That can really fuck with your head after a while. Fallon was extremely overhyped through this entire event, there was more coverage on her first two matches than any other players in the tournament. Now she’s lost, but I still guarantee sky sports is going to continue hyping her up simply because she’s a woman. Put her against any of the top 10 men’s players she gets destroyed. MVG? Destroyed. Price? Destroyed. Peter Wright? Destroyed. RvB? Destroyed. Phil Taylor could come out of retirement and probably white wash her with ease. Meh, who knows, maybe we will see her win something big sometime. I certainly would love to see it, but winning the first two rounds in first to 3 sets is not really that impressive

Forget the crowd, Fallon win the first 2 rd because she was better on the day, simple as. But as for her opponents SuperTed, Mensa, Doby class acts... how all sports stars shud behave. Well Done Fallon. No doubt this is only the start for women in this competition, more wins too follow... it only gets harder now....

Sherrock is a fantastic player and I respect her so much but I really hope in future tournaments Sky don’t keep up her gsmes as much I feel like it puts a kind of added pressure on her to perform and she did luckily but I feel it’s a bit unfair that she was getting so much pressure placed on her by the media imo

I saw the PDC advertising for darts taking place in the USA and it said "come see Fallon Sherrock and the stars of the PDC" with her photo dead centre in front of the likes of MVG. In what universe does she deserve that?

@haxenspirit7234 жыл бұрын
Absolutely right. She has won two matches in one tournament. Nothing more. MvG and the other top players have won hundrets of games in dozens of tournaments over the years and titles along the way. That hype around Sherrock is completely out of context. The only archievement of her is that she is a woman and that should not matter in a modern and equal civilization.

Sherrock will be the talk of the World Championship just y’all wait and see, forget about the winner of the tournament whoever that will be. Typical biased Sky Sports UK 🙄

Is there a rule where you have to finish with a double or a triple? How come when they have 12 points left they don't just aim for single 12?
@aaronbuffalo77694 жыл бұрын
Have to finish on a Double (outside reds) some matches/tournaments you have to Start on a double also.

Now she is off to the BDO Woman's World Championships but are men allowed to compete in this???
@michaelscott71664 жыл бұрын
The difference is there is only one PDC World championship open to all genders. The BDO has a separate mens and womens championship. Mind you the BDO mens is that weak these day that if Fallon played like she did this week she'd be a real contender in the Men's event if they let her in given how much weaker the BDO is these days.

I have to say this if people remember any sports like Darts history. When Jocky was at people he was booed and the same Happened to Eric Bristow so to say that booing just because a lady won twice is CRAP. Dart players used to have to play6 through the boos and laughs when a player was off form. If think I am wrong look at old games from the 1970s and 1980s. This will always happen to a player the crowed done like or for a player they want to win.
@smartarse84134 жыл бұрын
Don't talk shite! If it was bloke against bloke, the MC would have said something to the crowd and the pathetic commentary team would be telling us how unfair it is. Why should opponents be subjected to a torrent of boos when they could simply tell them to stfu or sling them out!! This is darts - not football. Idiot
