Just for anyone that needs to know :) You don’t need to have a horse with papers to have a good horse. Before you buy them make sure they are built and are capable of what you want to do. My mare is the fastest most athletic horse I’ve ever ridden and she is grade (doesn’t have papers). Before we bought her we made sure she had a good build, good feet, a good mindset, and speed. Papers are great and all but they don’t define a good horse.

Many irresponsible breeders will also breed for really impressive looking bloodlines with no actual regard for the health of the foal, you can find a really great, healthy animal athlete out of grade stock just as easily as you can find an over-bred, cracked out horse with a weak constitution because people were too concerned with his papers to realize they had ruined the animal in the process! Knowing what to look for in a horse will take you farther than a pedigree ever will

Hi from a Ranch Dressn Plus Size gal!!! Health and feelin good is indeed the most important! I am now in my 30s and not the rider I once was 100% due to weight and fitness. I am on the 1st diet of my life and will be treating myself to new Ranch Dress'n outfits when my currents get too big (fingers crossed)!!!

Yes. Some quarter horses will do that. It's kind of rare but it happens. I have Tennessee walking horses

Thank you! I'm back to barrel racing after 40 years, and have gelding we raised, that is more cow bred than race bred. I'm training him, with great tips from my sister Robin Kuhnhein who trains and runs great, fast horses, she likes the Dash to Cash bred, with the Frenchmans Guy type.... Oh I have a question... what happened to the horse that had the same name as Baby Flo that you found at the kill pen? I have been curious.

Now I can finally ask you how do I get out of this funk I’m in I lost my sister a couple year’s ago an all we did was ride together an it’s been so hard to get back into competition again an I lost my main ride last winter to a freak accident that caused him brain damage an I had to put him down it’s been so hard I don’t know where to start I haven’t truly rode in about a year or more an I used to ride every day without skipping a beat now all I think about is rodeo but it’s like it’s so far from my grasp an I’ll never get ahold of it again FALLON PLEASE HELP ME🙃

I am 43 and really getting into riding now. I have two little boys and have a demanding job. I get a lot of anxiety with riding, always worried about what might go wrong. As a parent and as a top competitive rider, how do you get over that anxiety ? Or do you ever have that anxiety ?
