Cremello doesn't have anything to do with silver dilution. Cremello is a red horse with 2 copies of the cream gene...perlino is a bay horse with 2 copies of the cream gene... Silver is a totally gene/dilution/modifier all together.

I love your barn tours because you show how your horses are bred, what their attitudes are and just interesting general information. It's going to be hard for you to pick some that you want to sell because you know you can't keep them all even if you want to. But I'm sure whomever you sell to will give them a great competitive home as they are all performance horses.

Love seeing all the babies! No silver dilution in Flomello she’s just a double cream dilute which happens 25% of the time when two single cream dilutes are bred (palomino, buckskin, or smoky black) If bred to a chestnut in the future she’ll produce palomino 100% of the time!

I would buy flomello in a heartbeat! Cremello horses have a special place in my heart! Correct me if I’m wrong but anytime you breed a palomino/buckskin to a palomino/buckskin you will always have a 1/4 chance of getting a cremello. A palomino and buckskin are heterozygous for the dilute gene and a cremello is homozygous for the dilute gene. :)

i love that you have a Bet Hes A Cat because we ride and train sorting horses and we ride a bunch of Bet Hes A Cat being they don’t really make it in the cutting pen. And so excited you have a roan! So many yellow babies! so adorable! sending love to you and alex and the baby of course!

I have a drop dead gorgeous Perlino gelding. He was a product of 2 grays. I don't begin to try to understand genetics! I have a short attention span. You either love dilutes or you dont, for sure. Those green poop stains show up really nice on his creamy white!

Hiya! Incorrect explanation as to why Flomello is cremello. Palomino and buckskin are both caused by the cream dilution so both the parents are both cr (cream) carriers. They both passed it on and made a double cream on a chestnut base (cremello) so you ALMOST had a palomino lol. Nothing to do with silver dilution. If one of those horses carried silver they would be a genetic anomaly in American Quarter horses as that is considerably rare. Also, double cream covers silver so, again, that has nothing to do with it. Flomello is beautiful and totally a dream to look at! Great video! Loved learning about your upcoming stock!

Congratulations on the pregnancy! So happy for you and Alex! All of your horses are gorgeous. However my favorite is how they are all so relaxed around you. It shows that the affection is real. They were all into the chill caressing. I wonder if any have been more affectionate with you will the pregnancy? Animals usually are more attuned to that. Anyway my favorite was Fancy Nancy, I really liked her look and she reminded of my heart mare... not to mention I am also called Fancy Nancy by my friends 😍

Sure you know this but cremellos only throw dilutes when bred, so only palomino, buckskin,cremello depending on the mate… of course dunalino, etc. GORGEOUS!❤️

Flomellos color has nothing to do with a silver dilution, she's a double cream dilute. Silver only lightens the mane and tail of black based horses (black and bay, not a sorrel base). Any time a single cream (palomino or buckskin) is bred to another single cream, you have a 25% chance of a non-dilute, 50% of a single cream, and a 25% of a double dilute (cremello and perlino, cremello is 2 creams over sorrel, perlino is 2 creams over bay, but they look very similar and can be hard to distinguish)

Cremellos are actually caused by two copies of the cream gene(the same gene that causes palomino and buckskin but those guys just have one copy) so by breeding a palomino and a buckskin together they both passed on their cream genes resulting in flomello being a double dilute😁 She is guarantied to produce buckskin, palomino, or smokey black though. If you want to avoid double dilutes in the future don’t breed two cream factored horses together!
