Holy crap people, are you not aware that every interview on every late night television show in history is scripted? The guest gets a questionnaire to fill out that helps the host ask the right questions ... haven't you ever wondered why the host always asks questions about things that the guest has a good story/answer for? Once in awhile, a guest acts surprised or like they don't want to talk about a topic, but then they always have a great quip/joke that makes everyone laugh about it ... it's all planned out in advance ... the stories, the jokes, the questions, the interruptions, everything ... doesn't make it bad or even untrue/not real, actually it makes it interesting and for better TV so there aren't awkward long pauses or things that have the guest looking like an ass ... the few times that it is awkward is when the guest doesn't prepare or when the host (most rarely) wants to grill someone about something that the guest was totally misled about what was going to be discussed ... again, that's really rare because the guest not only won't come back, but likely anyone that their agent, maybe even entire agency, represents will ever agree to come on the show ...
