Is John Oliver the greatest guest ever? I thought it was just his and Colbert's friendship that made it great, but I'm starting to think he might just be one of the best guests ever on any show!
@frizzlethecat20842 жыл бұрын
The thing with him, though, is that he'll take over the show. Just effortlessly, he'll giggle and laugh and segue away from topic and you either roll with it if you're a good host or fail. I love that of him, but it always makes the end of his segments very awkward.

Similar thing happened to me. This song was topping the charts when I was around 1st grade. I have vague memories of it playing on the radio every morning for a period of time when my mom was taking me to school. I remember singing it with her. Somewhere down the road I forgot all about it. I wouldn't rediscover RHCP until I was in highschool. My dad got me the Blood Sugar Sex Magic Album for Christmas one year because 'What I got' was my favorite song at the time. I had no idea Under the Bridge, the mysterious song from my early childhood, was on the same album, let alone by the same band. When I made my way through the album and Under the Bridge came on it hit me really hard. Like I had been searching for it all my life. I broke down and cried that Christmas night. I still can't sing it without choking up and starting to cry. It's tethered to my soul.

Weirdly relatable! when i was 5 under the bridge was my absolute favorite song 😂 not sure what I was so depressed about either (other than getting the occasional time-out, which granted, was pretty devastating at that age)

Under the bridge is some of the saddest shit in the world. 😂 I remember skipping it on my CD player unless I was in a solemn mood because otherwise it would take me to a solemn mood lol

John Oliver is the best. His show is SO funny and yet educational. If he was a teacher you would never skip class.

Hell, people would be in line to audit his class.

3:30-4:20 killed me! HILARIOUS! 🤣 Also, Jimmy's expression at 1:24 is incredible as well!

Its so hard to watch John Oliver on Fallon because I have so much affection and respect for the former and absolutely none for the latter.

Listen. I was five years old when “Under the Bridge” came out, and I was obsessed with it too. I get it.

There's ALWAYS these shut-in introverts who just HAVE to shit on puppy dog celebrities who keep a good mood going. So miserable. John obviously likes being on this show, Jimmy is featuring John so more people besides you snotty brats will watch Last Week Tonight

I need a video of his 3 yr old singing "Under the Bridge." Or of John Oliver singing it. Or a duet.

John Oliver makes Jimmy Fallon bearable. And that is truly something.
