This was a missed out oppertunity, think how funny it would have been if it was all the different talkshow hosts posing as the different houses. Think about it, after the fall of house Leno Jimmy Falister has taken the throne. Howevere, from the north house Kimmel...ark (it could work, they could make it a joke) comes down to depose house Fallister. However, there is word of a light haired woman claiming the throne is whispered. And so ellen of house degeners enters the fray. But in the end an ancient show host returns with her white bookclub and so Oprah returns and sits the throne once more. Just saying...

FistKitso 'Lord', is used only as a courtesy due to his position on the council, which traditionally made up high lords. He is a commoner though, and no true lord, having no lands or fiefs that are associated with the lordly form of address. Westeros doesn't seem to have titles that are awarded without lands (as most post-feudal European kingdoms did/do), so it's pretty much as insubstantial as being addressed monsieur or madame by a waiter -mon sieur (my lord) and ma dame (my lady).

Matthew Graff i suggest you read the books. Never in the books is Eddard Stark refered to as King of Winterfell or King in the North. Until Robb Stark declared war on the Lannisters and Ned was beheaded the title in the North is called Lord of Winterfell and Warden of the North, as it has been for 300 hundred years since Aegon, the first of his name, conquered Westeros and established the Realm. This was until Robb Stark declared the North (and the King of the Trident as he is later known) an independant Kingdom, thus calling himself the King in the North (and the King of Winter)

I was so happy to get a call to make the shoulder armor (pauldrons) and hip armor (tassets) for Lord Firecrotch's guards. The designer couldn't find a rental in the style he wanted, so he sent me a screenshot from GOT to copy. It took 5 days to make the two sets. He knew me from work I'd done for SNL and 30 ROCK. I love this sketch!

You'd have to be in sync, know whether you were shooting on or following 'scissors' intuitively, know if it was sudden death or two out of three, and respect the results without arguments over cheating or rematches. If you said it out loud nobody could dispute whether you threw at the right time so that was far more common. I have only had a couple of friends in my lifetime who I can have a silent RPS battle with- and to this day I consider them my closest friends.
