Its because, like with rock and jazz, it.started in English and if you like the artist or.the.band, you dont care.the language, but still we.have now those genres.in Spanish,.and good ones. Now Ive been watching reactions of US and UK about argentinean rock bands in Spanish and they are so surprised.how good they are. In hispanic Latinamerica.we have.always listened to specially Italian artists, besides.hispanics and Brazilians in portuguese and of.course English language artists. Some french music also but usuallyhave been translated into Spanish and performed.by latin artists, while in Italian we usually listened to the italian artists.that sing in both languages. Did know that My Way is originally a french song, but the lyrics are.different.

Also now.with KPOP in Korean even you guys dont pay so much attention to the language but you like the bands. We listened to music from other countries before the internet,.but nowadays even the anglo speakers who were not used to that are getting used to that, because music is universal.

I am not a fan of him or his music, but I have to say that this song is my guilty pleasure. And if he decides to make an R&B or jazz album... I'd definitely buy it.
