@@yazminasporrong8880 I agree with the fact that he does always butt in to get in on the attention, but it's a bit of a stretch to say he's untalented... he can sing in any voice, play guitar, dance, sometimes do funny bits, do impressions... you think he does all that with what? Luck?

Yes, watching someone else enjoy and participate in something fun is just infuriating. People should just sit quietly and not join in things that are fun. I really enjoy watching people not engage.

@@kuzzbillington6392 I never said he was UNtalented. In my insignificant opinion, he tries too hard to be seen as better than he is, and I don’t mean it in a mean way, he wants to impress, and to me it just *comes off* as fake. That’s what I think. 🤷🏼‍♀️ I’m sure he’s lovely and he’s funny at times , but his “image” shall we say annoys me. Maybe not the right word but I can’t think of a better one. Just reminds me a lot of an old friend of mine.

@@jaredf6205 Ahhh yes, come to think of it, I do remember this! You right you right. This is the intricacy of Fred's comedy that I don't find as funny. Just a subjective opinion. I watched his special that included drums and didn't like it that much. Just wasn't for me. But I thought this was really cool and creative and if Fred didn't include that talking over here and dove in with some actual more polished lyrics, it would have been funnier. Like, do a spoof on the dumb lyrics in punk too. Like the part where he talks about the parents in the ska song was funny. Lean into that more. But I'm not a professional comedian, these are only subjective opinions of what I find funny.

Fred Armisten sure knows his music. And the styles of each decade and era he plays on that nice guitar of his.

yea totally, so many deep cuts here…like……The Ramones. And the way he is able to…strum…..power chords….in standard tuning…that are distinct to each era….I mean, wow what a talent! The experience of listening to Fred shred through punk/alt music history…was like being transported back to….the supermarket where I was food shopping last Tuesday. Amazing stuff! It was also really cool to see Jimmy so invested in Fred’s punk rock medley. It’s so rare to see Jimmy impressed, as he can be a tough critic! Very cool!

@@mistabook I disagree. I think he realized that his fake laughing was more obvious than usual, so tried to sell it by bringing up the flower blvd comment a second time. Just so painful to watch.

@@securitysoundssss "trying to convince everyone he's a musician" Yeah, his whole purpose in life is to not play music and be funny, but convince people that he can do both. But I would say he has succeeded doing that for MOST everyone, except maybe for you. I also think if he knew you weren't convinced, it wouldn't really ruin his day.

@@securitysoundssss You know, you brought up the "musician" thing. Go look up the definition. A musician is someone who "plays an instrument and often gets paid for it", both of which define Fred Armisen. It says nothing about the quality of musicianship based on whatever criteria you are using. He's no Dave Grohl, but he's still a musician and comedian. Whether or not he fits your personal standards is a whole other thing. "People like me" love music and comedy, he loves music and comedy, I love what he does. If I was asking him to repair my car, then I would have the same chip on my shoulder that you seem to have about labels. He's an entertainer. That's it. You are WAY overreacting to this. I think my life would be pretty depressing if my tastes had to be dictated by "people like you."
