I’m a middle-age white guy from Texas who speaks very little Spanish. I stumbled on a song by a young guy named Xavi, called La Victima, and I had never really heard anything like it. It started me down a rabbit trail of a genre of music called Corridos Tumbados: artist like Peso Pluma, Eslabon Armado, Natanael Cano, and Ivan Cornejo are now constantly on my playlist. I absolutely love Regional Mexican music because of the rhythm of the guitars, bass, and brass. I wish all these young guys the best as they take over the world with their awesome music!
