If Jessica doesnt get any recognition awards wise for her performance it will be a crime. She managed to repulse, terrify, unease, hate yet also in a way make me feel sorry for martha and that is incredible. Such a complex multi layered person plus Richard drserves all the awards for his writing. To not only share all this but recreate it acting wise is unbelievably brave.

I don’t think Richard Gadd gets enough praise for his acting, he absolutely incredible, authentic, believable and heart wrenching. The intensity and genuine emotion from his eyes is truly phenomenal. Jessica Gunning gives an Oscar worthy performance if it was on the table I don’t think she would even have any competition. If she doesn’t win the Emmy it will be shocking but I think Gadd equally deserves one for his performance. The director and cinematographer deserves one as well! The visual artistry is equally a co-star that deserves more praise. Baby Reindeer is an artistic masterpiece on multiple levels.
