@@Zbgaming23not all Republicans are the same. I know some wonderful people that lean conservative in their beliefs. The MAGA movement represents something far more extreme and runs counter to everything Green Day has ever stood for. Read the rules for 924 Gilman St where Green Day got their start in the 80’s. They’ve always been progressive in their politics. The homophobic, transphobic, and xenophobic rhetoric coming from this group is disgusting and Green Day is justified in ostracizing them.

Wish you could have seen where we all grew up in 70's/80's. I haven't been back to the SF East Bay in a long time, but Oakland and Berkley where Green Day are from was a great place to grow up. I used to see them, Metallica (was friends with Exodus and others) just hanging out pretty often back in the day. Tre used to hang out with friends at the Peetes's Coffee shop closest to my house. Got to see the birth of thrash metal at keg parties in the late 70's, too. But then no doubt I'd love to have seen where you grew up too. So much awesomeness everywhere imo. Ah well, we can't experience everything.
