About the jet pack, which first came in with FO4: jets in arms make a lot more sense than just back. If your thrust vector is so offset from your center of mass, when you fire it off, you'll just faceplant unless you lean back, which means you'll just be able to fly backwards. With arm jets you can more easily change your thrust vectoring to a more stable direction. That's why jet packs that have been made are mostly arm jets or back and arms to stabilize.

You are correct in your explanation... it also just looks weird in live action to see the large mass being lifted with a back mounted propulsion system and no way to control direction.

I thought the same thing about the one shot kill on the Yao guai. But I just chalked it up to Maximus taking his time and lining up that “critical hit” headshot. Almost like in VATS. Video game logic and all that.

Rapport was an azz Knight. The bear took damage from the explosion of the gun, and from the punch to the gut. Maximus is actually an underrated shot with the pistol too, he nailed it.

I love how you completely understand maximus position with the titus post battle(in titus case, running) situation. A lot of people holding it against him, like what? Not only was he being a dbag before and after the fight, he told Maximus exactly what he was going to have happen to maximus after he healed him. I love the gould shooting off the scientist limb. That's exactly the thing other stories never do when they need to capture someone. The enemy/target always escape. And I mean, they never do something about it and I'm always go: "At least shoot one of their legs!". So happy they did it here! Also, I don't know in what ep. was, but the ghould said he used that power armor model at some point. Probably went to war like the MC of Fallout 4. Also also, no, the scientist knew the type of crop of her vault and that it was a meritocracy type of vault. And only because she was in vault 33, so I think he knew almost every vault and the number have some type of meaning we don't know about.

This is imho the best game franchies-to-movie adaptation I've even watched. As a Fallout fan with many many hours of playing behind me I was very surprised at how good it is. The sets, the props, the character design etc. are so spot on. Add to that how beautifully filmed it is. Can't wait for season 2.

I'm sure the ghoul saw it is a tranquilizer gun, so allowed Lucy to draw on him since it is even less dangerous for him as a knife. The scientist might know not Lucy, but his father. The scientist, overseer, with unknown history. The answer for this is given in episode 8. The jetpack is the least issue for me, i find this serie excellent, there are so many things they could have ruined but they nailed them. Also this isn't copy of Ironman, simply makes more sense, some real life working jetpacks are also worn on hands, arms.

In regards to the wrist jets, I'd originally assumed they were flight stabilizers for the jet pack, but it seems to just be a flat out generational upgrade to the T-60 post Fallout 4 as the jet pack was an upgrade from the Brotherhood as you got to a high rank. In terms of Maximus' shot on the Yao Guai, I imagine it was a critical hit, and since he's using the classic Colt 6520 (An interesting return to form as they skipped 4's rather ugly 10mm pistol thankfully), it's with the relatively stout 10mm cartridge which is used for bears in modern times.

On Titus and the bear: I think his swings did do some damage, and the bear realized it was in for a fight, and really squared up. Titus's gun was broken, and I think he just panicked. If he went Tyson he wins that fight, but he went Titus instead

You might be right about the T-60 in lore. But I know from in-game if a yao guai gets the jump on you without a weapon in T-60 armor, punching ain't gonna do dick to it. And since this show follows the mechanics of the games more than the lore, running away was absolutely the right choice. especially since his companion seemed to be T posed glitched and just watching you get mauled. then only when you leave the cave and you are bleeding and poisoned does Maximus' companion AI reset and decide to help you. then gets distracted by a bloatfly or something as your crippled body cursing his name whilst just trying to catch him to get into his inventory to get a stimpak. Only for you to die to poison or something chasing Maximus' companion across the wasteland. Oh yeah, I can see how Knight Titus dieing happening in gameplay very well.

we have first real life jet packs and in real life you need to balance the thrust on your center of mass. Thrusters in your arms have the most freedom of movement to balance it. Jetpacks on your back are offset to your center of mass and would not work without other thrusters. So this is the more realistic approach from real live references

Yeah, the jet packs being more of a hovering action similar to Iron Man and less the retrofuturistic mechanical burst of fire holding him aloft is unfortunately one of the things I definitely am not a fan of in the show. I'm assuming it would've been too much wear and tear on those custom suits but also the budget for special effects might've not been where we wanted it to be. There was only 8 episodes which is such a weird number for a show even if it's a first season. They should've known the level of appeal Fallout has but, they definitely know now. It's one of the most watched shoes this year period and we're just entering Spring...and we have to wait until 2026 for more. Apparently Microsoft is putting the boots on the Bethesda because a re-release of the Anthology collection and a next gen update for Fallout 4 was not good enough for this kind of free press. They needed a new game ready to make as much money as possible from this. It's why we keep hearing weird stuff from Todd Howard recently. It sounds like they're planning one or more games or they possibly might pull a Fallout New Vegas and contract the work out third party so we can have a new game sooner than later. It's mainly due to the fact Bethesda is working on Elder Scrolls VI right now and no one at Bethesda saw this level of interest coming from an 8 episode streaming show. Hell, Todd Howard looked like he was going to cry when he asked the IGN representatives at the premiere in California if they were actually rating the show a 9 and they confirmed it right then and there. Bethesda hasn't had a solid gold plated W when it comes to Fallout since Fallout 3 or New Vegas arguably so, it's a sight to see we're seeing Fallout not being made fun of after the uninspiring latter years of Fallout 4 and the clown show of Fallout 76.

Many fans did indeed not like how the armor flies. More so how the flame placement makes no sense as we only ever see jetpacks that do that in game. That said, it's been suggested they may have done it for practical reasons. Since the armor was actually created for the series, having a practical flaming jetpacks may have damaged whatever the armor was made out of. So thus they changed how it worked. You should see the guy that is in the armor for all the scenes. He's over 7 feet if I recall. But he said he was actually very flexible in the suit despite it looking bulky and cumbersome.

I tend to disagree. He might have done dozens and of missions, might have been wearing it for many years, it's easy to be brave at first. But some falter later. The Wasteland can chew your soul. Some hardens under the weight, some break. And yes he become a coward. Not typical Brotherhood Knight, this is why Maximus say he doesn't deserve the armor.

If you watch the show this is addressed. The Brotherhood is in shambles. Most of the factions are barely hanging on in this region. It would make since that Knights would start losing faith as the organization is falling apart around them. Maximus is feeling like the Brotherhood is not meeting up to his own ideals. He's also been bullied since he started basic training. Titus was acting defensively so he wasn't inflicting as much damage as he could. Maximus got a critical shot after the bear had already been softened up by Titus. It's like you're trying to find things to complain about.
