A little bit too many power armors. A a sleeping room with kitchen would be nice and a trailor with ammunition for the arty. But regardless well done.

It’s amazing to see the potential F4 still has! A pity it’s run by Bethesda. Yes, drivable tracks, the car from F2, and more renovation or re-building options. I mean we talk 200 years and nobody fixed a roof? Or a garden for that matter.

A nuclear steam locomotive is actually completely logical. It's the way, every nuclear fission reactor works. Here, the steam is just going right into the propulsion instead of being fed into an turbine.

There is a YT video on some Nuclear locomotives designed in the 1950s, but use turbines instead of pistons. biggest issue were weight since it need a lot of shielding & water. Killed by the risk of it crashing & spilling very radioactive materal, since trains do have derailment risks.

@@guytech7310 In fallout that wouldn't be a problem, as they put that stuff in every car, which makes car crashes end in an nuclear explosion with the size of a Davy Crockett grenade.

Add armored/metal plates around the locomotive car and also add another car for infantry/power armor in front of the locomotive car and another cannons car in front of the infantry car that is in front of the locomotive car.That should be a balanced design.You could even add a communications car right in the middle with some small radar dishes turning

@@Cheese_boi69 yeah that can happen, but you can simply blow the treads off a tank too. Doesn't change the fact that you would have to transport power armor lol

My only complaint is the eccentric rod needs to be moved farther back connecting to the main rod where it’s connected on the third driving other than that everything looks good

@@michaelmitchell6476 yeah I intended to rework that a bit but I got burned out on the build after so much time lol. I wanted to scale up most of the running gear in general because it looks kind of small to be driving that much wheel.

Cool Concept! this would be a great way to travel, and this would make a fun side quest to activate the train, and another to clear rail lines around the wasteland. Is there a way to make it so it can knock the cars and trucks on thr tracks out of the way? im jsut brainstorming here, lol. Again, aawsome Mod, hope it works well!

The fallout universe NEEDS more focus on vehicles and/or mounts. The history of north America can't be told without trains and horses... post apocalyptic America shouldn't be an exception.

@@zombiepilot1914 Absolutely, thr boomers surfaced a rusted B 29 to do reverse engeniering and fly the real thing. You can take a rusted power armor from a crashed vertibird in F0 4 in a lake. Russian dudes can put ww2 rusted tanks pulled from mud to work again. You can't ride a tricycle with a shotgun in any of the games because "lorewise" that technology can't be understood by modern humans

@@dragoon0369ify They are machine kit parts from Wasteland Reconstruction Kit. You'll need Place Everywhere heavily if you want to use the parts to build something like this. Lots of tilting. Check out The Kuro Tab as well. Good stuff to play with in that mod too

As a rail and fallout fan, the representation of railroad has always annoyed me no end. Absurd grades and locomotives that can't pass the bridges and tunnels right in front of them. Looks like you did it right, Beth should take note.

Armoured trains are very realistic for a post-apocalyptic setting like fallout. Just look at where they got used irl, areas were trains were the only reliable method of transport like in fallout or during civil wars were tanks were available in limited numbers. In fact trains would be the perfect way to start building up a transportation system in fallout again.

@@guytech7310 the build could in theory be blueprinted and rebuilt in several custom workshop locations and that fast travel target idea would probably work. Would at least give the illusion that you traveled there by rail

@@zombiepilot1914 You could try making into to small DLC if you can fast travel it: Such that the player has to defend the train as it travels across the commonwealth removing obstructions in front of the train while raiders, super mutants set up ambushes. Probably replace the picture guns with gun\missile turrets & have them breakdown where the player has to repair them. Probably would make a fun DLC.
