I love watching you build simply because I learn new ways of combining pieces to create whole new looks. As simple as putting a flat wooden wall in combination with a not-so-flat metal wall makes for a whole new piece to build with effectively. I wonder what other things I will pick up along this particular journey...

Pleased to hear you are enjoying the builds, thanks! I am rather fond of blending pieces together as it helps to try and break up the admittedly self-limited selection of pieces I have, and as you say can give the impression of entirely new ones.

I rewound several times but I don't understand the turret bit, what's being done? 🙃

@@Mjakartha This settlement normally only allows you to build Level 5 incendiary turrets. By moving outside the settlement border with a turret selected, and then switching from the light to heavy turret changes it to Level 7 explosive variant.

It’s a fairly simple design (did try a few more complex ones that did not look right) but has the benefit of settlers actually being able to path into and use the structure. Great to hear you liked it, thanks! 👍😊

Hey, love your builds, I was wondering, how are you able to move pieces up and down? I checked your modlist but I can't find much on the hotkeys themselves. Cheers.

Thanks! The movement of objects is done using the Place Everywhere mod, there is a full list of all the mods features and hotkeys (scroll right down to the bottom 😉) listed on its Nexus page: www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9424

How did you pull of that movement trick at 2:00 ? I'm on PC and want to build like you.

It’s done using the Place Everywhere mod, specifically by using the arrow keys on the NumPad and the '-' and '+' keys to adjust the movement steps. The mod requires F4SE so hopefully you blocked the 'update', otherwise you’ll need to revert back to the previous version to use it. Why are you using a controller and not the keyboard for building even if you are on pc?

I often play with my PC’s display outputting to my TV and so cant use my keyboard and mouse, as such I got used to and now prefer the game playing with a controller.

Playstation dlc are broken now. i will have to use only vanilla stuff sadly. You know a good mod for vanilla settlements without dlc?

I don’t play on console so not really that familiar with the mods available for them. However I have heard of USO which might do the job and has modules for just the base game and separate add-ins for the DLC’s. Although if the DLC is broken adding mods to an already busted save sounds like a recipe for disaster 😨: mods.bethesda.net/en/fallout4/mod-detail/3060618

A question I saw that you can move structures up AND down even when it Is already placed in a place to create mini stairs or connect new structures up over other structures. In consoles you know what buttons i have to press to do that too. I only know hold x + R1 or l1 yo move structures out of building before to place AND Select múltiples structures at same Time but how can move structures connected to another structures like you do to create diferent connections? This 5:34

@@Therake2602 That’s done using the ‘precise movement’ feature of the Place Everywhere mod and is controlled using keyboard shortcuts. The closest PS4 has to that mod is QwaPa, which lists ‘fine movement control’ in its features so hopefully might work similarly: mods.bethesda.net/en/fallout4/mod-detail/4038979
