Fallout 4 - Easy Trick to Hang Power Armor Without Mods on PS4

Just figured this out and put together this quick video, quality is not great but wanted to get it up ASAP. So far this method looks the best with T-60 power armor or any power armor that has the shoulder holes. No mods needed to do this as I am using PS4.

I remember being shocked the first time I used a power armor station and the armor stayed on the ground. why whoud the station have piston arms and hooks if it's not even going to use them!

There is a fun feature: if you command your companion to enter a suit of power armor and give him a different task as the animation begins, the armor will open, close, and stand upright like someone is inside.

Sure you know this but u can hold your touch pad to get into build mode instead of going to the station every time. Kills me watching you run down there every time when you want to bring build mode up Lol

I got my Sanctuary station all tricked out and capped it off with this gem. But when I logged on the very next day, the armor was back on the floor as usual. I figured it would only last until I used the armor again, thought it was worth sacrificing a suit for a display. Oh well, thanks anyway for the technique!

I know that this was a feature in the game because on the loading screen the t60 suit of power armour is literally hanging

You don’t have to walk down to your workbench every time, you can just hold V.

Just put it next to the frame and hit craft it will hang automatically. No need to do all of this.

Are the power armor chassis different lvls or just the fitted parts

For Fallout 4, none of the Pieces or the Frame has Levels. On Fallout 4, you can build Type A Armor Pieces, Type B, C, D, E & F Types for all T45s, T51s, T60s and X-01s Indiviudual Armor Pieces. But that mostly means you're making the Armor Pieces thicker and can take more Damage fron NPCs. That seems like it's only for Fallout 76 where they're Level 25, 35, 45 and so on.

Its a rather common building hack, the two mat thing, so unfortunately no it wont snap back, you’ll need a mod for that.
