The final DiMA memory 5 is a tough one and you will be running around a lot and picking up blocks that you just laid down.
A tip to start out is, grab all blocks you can pick up, you will eventually pick some of them up again but with this huge puzzle you will always need a few spare blocks in memory 5.
The good thing is that this doesn't have a time limit and you won't lose progress if you fall down. So you can take all the time you need. This last DiMA memory puzzle can definitely be a test of patience but like before, if you know what to do, it's not that bad.

A funny story. I was working this puzzle and accidentally hit the key for immersive lovers embrace menu. Since you need your lover next to you to do it, the game teleported Cait to inside the computer, where I was. But, since she was never meant to be in there she did not accompany me out. When I tried to re-summon her with the menu, it simply said "No compatible companion nearby". As depressing as that was, I refused to give up. My last save file before this happened was from two hours ago. I could have made it a story about how the was lost in the virtual reality forever, but that was just not going to happen. I tried the command to move her to me. It did not work. So I move myself to her and found her knocked out. I helped her up and told her to go to Dalton farm. After not being able to find her there, I moved back to her via the console and found that she was still trapped in the computer. So I reloaded my auto save, went back in, and instead of waking her up, I used the knockout mod to simply hoist her on my back and then teleport us both to greentop nursery via the console. So, that's the story of how I saved my companion from eternal cyber oblivion.

And resources. Seriously. I’ve stuck by Bethesda and always will, but this was the only time I was truly annoyed with one of their games. Fallout 4 is great don’t get me wrong, but man this was one of the most tedious task I’ve ever experienced in a video game. What disappointed me even more was how short the dlc was because of this puzzle. The developers cut the dlc in half because of this section. Instead of getting an epic battle between the factions of Far Harbor we get a long memory den style puzzle. I literally spent more time on this puzzle than I did playing the actual dlc.

Do you want a really easy way to do this without the annoying puzzle? Go to the firewall blocking the orange column, put blocks on the other side of the wall and the side you're on, so there's "blue block, fire wall, blue block, column" and the little data carrier bugs glitch across it. :) Put turrets down, job's a good one.

For those who might be struggling with this or falling short of one decoder relay, just build 5 turrets at the firewall They will start shooting those sentry orbs and after a while the firewall will disappear Practically this was solvable in 5 minutes 😢

I did this with 1 less memory block. Basically you can point two laser boxes at each other and they will sustain the laser beam even after you cut it off from its power line. You can then reuse the boxes earlier in the line.

I aimed 2 reflector things at each other, let the beam go in, and then it goes in a loop where the beam will continue to bounce back and forth between the 2 reflectors. Then I stored all the other reflectors and created a path where the beam will go to for the final firewall, and interrupted the bouncing beam with a 3rd reflector, which causes it to stop bouncing the beam, and it passes through into the target block thing that opens the firewall. I’m not sure if that made any sense, and I might have been exploiting a glitch, but I was proud to have solved it- and with an extra unused reflector block!

Easy way. Skip this all. Put the turrets at the last wall. They shoot the block eventually fighting the orbs. The rest is just a time waster just stack a few blocks and put them on top. The aim eventually makes them hit the block making it dissappear. Dont know if that's intentional or a mistake in the game design but it seriously saved me about 2 hours..

Came here to read everyone’s opinion. So glad I’m not the only one that fucking hated this segment 👌🏻 Because of this the entire Far harbour dlc feels like a chore because if i ever want to experience it again ive got this shit to look forward too... yay...
