Far Harbor is extremely underrated, honestly. Maybe my favorite experience in Fallout 4. It had much more choice and a really engaging narrative. Best of all it really nailed the atmosphere. Nothing beats walking through the fog at night with ominous music playing with viscous beasts cloaked in darkness.

Just installed fallout 4 again today, I had 500+ hours spent on it before nuka world came out but for some reason never played it past the first 2 hours or so. I feel so sad playing this game again. Probably my favourite DLC just after Honest Hearts. Give whoever wrote the murder mystery quest in Vault 118 a raise. That is of course excluding the fucking block puzzles. Easily the most tedious part of any game I've played in recent memory. .

This DLC has some of the best aspects of Point Lookout- the mysterious backwater locale and the spooky atmosphere- but it also has it's own unique personality, and gives you so much more to do, so much more to find, explore, loot, and kill. I love it. 10/10.

I completed this DLC yesterday. It's really making me ponder. Without giving spoilers, this is what I took away from the whole thing: the truth isn't always the best route. When the status quo is built on lies for so long, the truth will just make everything collapse. Sometimes its best to pick the lies you can live with, as ugly as that sounds.

If Far Harbor were a standalone Fallout game it would easily be the best in the series. Going back to Point Lookout after this really shows you how far things have advanced, how much richer and more alive the experience is. I've played FO3, FO:NV, with all DLC's, and now FO4 with all DLC's. And Far Harbor is the best DLC Bethesda has ever made. I only wish every DLC Bethesda is going to make is something like Far Harbor. From the first moment when the boat pulled to the dock, I knew something was different, and the theme gives a very haunted feeling.
