more likely to just drink that soda and take the mule box apart. mallet goes in the tool box, bag gets dyed by hand and stuffed with garden tools or tools for my textile artwork, and the two copper mugs get used for color shifting hand dyed yarn. which, now that i think of it, I think I should write them sometime and suggest a natural textile dyes box. i've gotten a lot of eyes popping in response to my textile work, maybe it will have the same appeal for them.

i just waiting for when nexus makes it were you can have separate mod playlist in vortex that when you select what ever name playlist you want to play it auto disables mods that aren't in the selected playlist. so lets say your currently playing a vanilla friendly modded play through but decide to play frost you just exit game go to vortex select that playlist and hop on make a new character and you don't have to worry about any of the mods running from your last play unless you have them in that list and vis versus that way you don't have to remove mods the redownload over and over again plus have the links to said mods save that you can copy to a flash drive so if you get a new pc you can just click the mod playlist save links and it will start downloading every mod you had instead of you trying to remember what you were using.

​@Bingis Bahn once you get on the fallout nw train, it starts moving for a few seconds before a fade to black loading screen. Once the loading screen is done, you are still on the train as it continues down the rail for a minute. You can ride it between the commonwealth and nuka world but you cant get immersed with it because of thr loading screen if thats what you were asking

My problem with some of these quest mods is that they're too self aware, they're fan service, rather than a new story within the world, they usually name drop The Sole Survivor or make comments that are obviously fan comments on the game inserted into the game. If the creators of these mods avoid that trap good for them, but I have my doubts.

Rumor I heard from Kinggath's stream was it will come out a month or two before Starfield. Also mechanics people liked in Conquor are making their way back into the game. People loved em in SS1 so they arent silly enouogh to not do so. :) London looks like a lot of fun. Its well worth installing the mod that gives you the vendor in the commonwealth. It has a sniper rifle Im particularly fond of. Oh and you can buy platemail to wear. My D&D heart is so happy.

Most of the mods won't disappear on the nexus and many players like myself will keep the current fallout 4. Many modders will carry on making mods for the current version just like most authors are still sticking with the old version of skyrim making mods. For the special edition, modders will make new mods and some will import their mods from the old version of fallout 4 to fallout 4 special edition when they feel like it.

Not that big of a deal if you remember to change settings so as to not update the game automatically, but it will split the modding community, which will be annoying. However unless the update fixes major engine bugs and improves stability and performance, it's going to be a waste of effort.

I have a lot of respect for the Sim Settlements 2 team. As a former console player of Fallout 4, we only had 2GB of mod space. SS2, despite it's size, includes a load of content that you don't really need a lot of other mods. It's a really good settlement overhaul, but adds to the vanilla experience as well. Props to the SS2 team, and I'm excited to see what happens next. Peace and love, my dudes.

How is sim settlements 2 getting a chapter 3 when I can't even finish chapter 2. The HQ mechanic halted my progress through the story and seems to not work well.

We've got a bypass system coming for the HQ stuff for systems that can't handle it (Looking at you Xbox...). If you're on a decent PC and are still having trouble with it - would love to hear more details so I can work on the problems. Been doing a lot of patches to get that system in fighting shape - and won't stop until it's working great!

The hq seemed to run fine on my Xbox. I ran into a problem of not having enough people/energy to make living quarters, and not having enough living quarters to get more people. But I’m fairly certain that was my fault from missing something or not understanding something. I did have some quest bugs and stuff, that was before I realized you have to be patient and take your time with building and such. I started a new game from scratch and everything seems to be going very smooth for the most part except minor bugs but nothing game breaking yet.

There's a mod called 'The Red Wave (reloaded)' which adds a small ship with workbenches and containers on it and you can 'dock' it at a bunch of different locations. Might be fun for a little bit :)

I loved Sim Settlements 2. Too bad it crashes or freezes my game every 5 minutes or so. America Rising didn't do that (and it's great too)! I would like to add that this behavior doesn't occur at the beginning of the game but about 20 or so hour in after you have set up several settlements. I was also using city plans for most of those settlements and used the required mod Workshop Framework to expand the build limit since some of the city plans were too large for the vanilla build limit (strange that). The crashes usually happen when I am approaching a settlement but sometime randomly. The game also froze when I was clearing out the underground sections of vault 88 without any SS2 plots in it. I have played SS2 with and without mods on two different PCs and still experienced the same result. I hope that future updates of SS2 and/or Fallout 4 will resolve this issue since I like this mod so much.

I like the concept of Sim Settlements but never personally liked it in practice, automating all the building. I wish there was a version that without the settlement building, just the story but I'm probably in a very small minority with that. Will have to check out America Rising, always thought it was by the same author who did Fusion City Rising but apparently not. FCR was a mod that left a sour taste in my mouth after playing it with its juvenile humor, playing fast and loose with canon, and laden with references that go annoying fast with mods from the same author sharing the same problems.

You can cheat in the HQ to make setting it up easier. It has some difficulty settings that range from your Settlers doing whatever on a plan and you picked and you placing every chair. :) The mod has a holotape that will let you skip forward on the quest line. Also force a stuck quest to complete. So its hard to get stuck before HQ :D I agree with you about the Thuggy mods. I do run with Outcasts and Reminents/Valkyrie because I really love the storyline he made to let every faction survive. Also Sarah Lyons' fate is touched on in a very good way. Most of the stupidness is centered on some characters I just ignored (He actually made an Ash companion).

I hope you guys took care of your backups. This next-gen update Bethesda wants to roll out will most likely basically break any mod, screwing us over. Especially since I use RTGI, a lot of shaders (reshade), many demanding lightning mods, gorgeous 4k texture mods, great enb's, etc. meaning that my game will still look worlds better than any bullcrap Bethesda wants to throw at us and I can run with it since I have the specs to do so. Guys, save your backups and don't update when the Fallout 4 update rolls out if you want to save your precious load orders and be able to still enjoy your modded playthroughs with great variety. Set the game to only be updated when started via Steam and keep using your f4se.exe. Hopefully, we receive an update reversal tool as Skyrim has one, but till then, stay cautious. I won't let them break hundreds of hours of careful work for nothing in return, besides an at best mediocre little graphics and performance update that looks already 100x worse than what I already have in place and otherwise barely does anything for me.

They should be working on a Fallout: Quebec or something. We need something in annexed "Little America" which is virtually untouched! A friend of mine from Quebec and I have been *brainstorming* ideas for the story and locations and tech that could go into it, and even ideas for how the player character could work, like if they were a pre-war Army ghoul in the former occupation force! Even the inclusion of multiple pre-war flashback sequences to give the character more depth than the Sole Survivor(s), and a more personal connection to some of the factions between say, the Canadian resistance and remnant US Army forces
