You should do other songs that the Fallout universe made popular. Like "I don't want to set the world on fire" by the Ink Spots or "A kiss to build a dream on" by Luis Armstrong (I think it's by him.) Good luck and thanks this tutorial helped so much

I may not seem like a very mature person because of my username and profile picture, however I have been playing guitar for a while and I'm quite enticed by music the piano can play, I think I will make an attempt at learning piano.

Thanks for this tutorial, very helpful !!But i have a question, what about the pedal, i mean, i just started to use the pedal on my yamaha i'm trying different things but when i use it to sustain my bas, the notes on my right hand overlapse and it sound ugly.

+Eaz zy Because you have to push it in intervals. Every fourth note. Every fourth note you let go, and push it again. It keeps the notes from overlapping.

It should be noted that this song was nothing even close to a hit for The Ink Spots. It was the "B" side of "I'll Make Up For Everything"... one of the poorest selling records The Ink Spots ever made. It's a great tune sung by a great group but it was as far from a "hit" as anything can be.

Austin Casey Hello from the UK. I don't know what to say to your comment. It seems to have little relevance to a piano Tutorial. I suppose the best thing is to say "Please don't Shoot the Pianist, he is only doing his best"

David Neal Hahaha I only made that statement as a response to your saying that this was a "hit song from 1947". I note that it wasn't a hit song because I find it rather interesting that a song recorded in 1947 has gotten more attention today than it did when it was first recorded. This is a great tutorial by the way! I will come back and learn it later in the day. Thank you for sharing.

Austin Casey Thank you for your response. When I wrote my script I did not call he song a hit song as I had not ever heard it before. My Father had many records from that era including ink spots, but not this one. It was only my run away voice that put the word HIT in the script. I am not now nor ever have been an accomplished public speaker. To play and speak at the same time I find very difficult, without making script or note entry errors. I dislike making this kind tutorial but I was requested to do so. I will record the melody part of the tutorial very soon and hope that will be sufficient for a while. As far as the song is concerned the kids who want to be able to play the melody won't care a jot who the Ink Spots were, it's all down to the Fall Out 4 game. I too find it very interesting that songs from that era are finding a new lease of life because of computer games. Best Wishes David

+David Neal David, I just wanted to thank you for this fantastic tutorial. I've only been playing piano for around 4 years now, and usually "tutorials" like these are vry difficult to understand, but yours was fantastic. In your comment you had said "Kids won't care who the Ink Spots were, they just care about the game.." I wanted to tell you that I, a 14 year old young man, proudly call The Ink Spots my favorite vocal group. Yes, I do enjoy the Fallout Video Games as well, but the games have shown me a truly amazing type of music. I would give anything to've been born back in the 30's or 40's, even if it was just for the culture and music. I belive today's music pales in comparison to older, more wholesome pieces like this one. Thank you very much for the tutorial! :)
