Fallout 4 NEXT-GEN Optimization! Boost FPS, Fix Lag & Stuttering!

This is complete nonsense. Fallout was changed to utilise high priority by default years ago. The stuttering introduce by the Next Gen patch is caused by the update itself and these fixes will not rememdy it. Anything that edits NPC's will cause more noticeable stuttering. For many, this is already quite pronounced in vanilla and no amount of tweaking your settings will change this due to the nature of the problem... NEVER make changes to your registry or download sketchy packs from unknown sources.

@@gigs510muzik if you have stuttering because of the next gen patch and it happens in vanilla. The only way is to downgrade the game to the previous version. If you have low fps constantly then there are several fixes like turn of v sync and cap your fps at your monitors limit using the nvidea or AMD control centre software.

Don´t forget to set your CPU cores in the ini files! That made the biggest difference for me.

@@grim3850 Number of CPU cores: Fallout4.ini, Fallout4Custom.ini -> [GENERAL]: iNumHWThreads=4 // check your PC, how many cores your CPU has. I have 28, instead of 4 in the example. Then go to Nexus mods and download the mod: Fallout Priority Next-Gen - CPU Performance FPS Optimizer. Both helped a lot. For the mod you need the new Fallout Script extender and you need to start with that one. If an error window pops up, ignore it and continue.
