+ethan murtha There is another reason for having that piece out. Bosco has a sniper rifle. To scope that rifle, you need to rest your cheek to the stock and put your eye behind the scope. The exact cut out of the mascot head to be precise.

Not really. He has a sniper rifle for his weapon of choice. Sniper rifles are meant for precision shots, whether they have iron sites or scopes. If you're using a rifle like Bosco's, you're going to need to line up the sights properly at some point. In this instance, the mascots head would get in the way, hence the cut out, which allows him to rest his cheek on the stock and get his eye in line with the scope.

Make sure that before unlocking the cage, eliminate enemies in the nearby estates, save the game and don't let the up and coming "hunters" distract you too much. He is not your dog so he will NOT wait around if you lose track or sight of him.

I think the Bosco head used to be hers. Her scar matches where the teddy bear head was broken. Something exploded, breaking the mascot head and scarring her face. That's why she retired, and Bosco took over.

I found the dog and followed him to Eleanor, but he took a MUCH longer route for me. I was following him for about 5 minutes at least. I didn't know about the connection between Eleanor and Bosco, though. I didn't make my way to the high school until much later.

The head actually has a story behind it if you read Bosco's terminal - Bosco was going insane off the drugs he was taking. He became extremely paranoid and began turning on his own men. He started hearing noises of a monster growling or roaring which no one else could hear. Bosco ordered his men to look for the monster and kill it. Obviously, none of the guys could find it because it didn't exist. Bosco ended up torturing and killing many of his men who failed to bring back this monster's head, thinking they are in on it or are incompetent. So this bear head was brought to him as a trophy of having found the cause of the roaring. His men must have figured this might be the only way to satisfy his insanity. That's why he is wearing it. It's a cute story.

I found the dog on an early playthrough. But he ran away while I was busy with the hunters. When I found Elenore later, I hoped she'd sell me the dog, like Eugene. Alas, no. At least she was good to trade with. Unlike the lady selling cat meat. She was only good for target practice.
