Take it a step further, can't use ANY animal products meaning no leather, abd any adhesive must come from vegetable starch as glue animal byproduct, and ao on and so forth. This means that basically you can't have any armor as all armor requires leather.

You could've worn Synth armor as it's made of plastic. You find them on Synth Patrollers and even a Synth Leader. You could've also used robots to do your bidding. So Codsworth would've been the perfect companion.

So, this might be useful for any future runs you do that involve avoiding the roaches in the vault. The one by the Vault door didn't open the one you closed, there's a roach that ALWAYS emerges underneath the staircase where the skeleton and pip boy are.

Fun fact for the future Fallout 4 runs, you don't actually have to follow dogmeat in getting a trail quest. You can just go straight to fort hagen without him to advance the quest.

i believe there's a radroach that crawls from under a platform for a mini stealth tutorial when you approach the pip-boy, rather than one of the trapped roaches behind the door glitching their way through. a few also crawl from under the rubble when you walk near certain buildings in Sanctuary

There's a way to cheese the Swan fight. In one of the streets coming off the pond, there is a bus you can be perfectly safe to shoot him through the windows, and the rocks he throws just hit the side of the bus harmlessly. As long as you have enough ammunition, you can take him down.

If I may, I would advise using the syringer rifle for your next vegan/pacifist playthrough. Invest in the chemist perk and you can craft syringes to: make enemies flee, make enemies lose you, make enemies attack each other and so on.

I'd argue that the only morally acceptable way to kill an animal is self-defence. Physical, when you are attacked and mental, when you put a house pet down avoiding suffering by proxy. However I'd expect in the rule to close out animal ingredients for crafting as well and if you have non-human companion you have to use them on the most peaceful setting possible. So Fun fact Rad roaches don't open doors A rad roach will spawn there at 4:38 (someone already mentioned it but I'm like to pound info in peoples cranium) 9:25 assuming that Takahashi is using the same ingredients you do It's Valid Not even a minute later at 10:07 Yes Dogmeat is excluded from the list of companions (still Bull you used him AT ALL) 14:28 you got dogmeat to Kill the animals hence why I say it's bull none of the animals have to die Period I've called this run (By your rules) Failed as Dogmeat killing them for you is BULL I can over look Preston killing the deathclaw as at that point Grinding levels to level 23 (for you to have a chance at Pacifying the deathclaw) is boring and wasting your time However any Animals past that can be avoided you took the WRONG Route to Fort Hagen having dogmeat (IMO) is Cheating 16:06 you didn't get the Fat man in Fort Hagen for Kellog nor the missile launcher Now I understand if it where a restricted weapon run But it's not it's a challenge run ok at 20:09 There's this nifty thing called the Wiki (Heck most of my gripes are gone with someone who reads the Wiki) And this kind of annoys me that some people don't read it or at least look at it Claiming it's "cheating" and before 20:09 Why did you even enter this building it's a hardware store it has tools not food 21:50 SO YOU DID FIND THE WIKI But Not soon enough BoS has you fight Super mutants (fun fact Mutant hounds are still hounds) so your SOL Minutemen requires you kill Mirelurks (crabs) you kill syths so no railroad nor Institute so your SOL then again your with dogmeat (already made my rant with him) so Dogmeat can kill the hounds at 22:33 so Not only did you do the quest at 26:01 you DID IT AGAIN?! to prove you didn't cheat your balls are gone mate Thank god it's Fucking done Do note I loved the idea and these gripes are for fun (and help you get on the Home page or whatnot) But these things are stuff that if someone where to do a redo to avoid (everything but the Faction it's the end there) Edit:1 Last thing to note your very mitten Squad in the types of videos you do but you have what seems like half the brain cells (again it's all in good fun)

So I originally went in with the idea that using Dogmeat would be cheating, but I found it to be a more entertaining gameplay loop. The usual pacifist playthrough has been done to death so I wanted to avoid any resemblance of that. Thank you for the tips though, I’ll try to consult the wiki more often!
