The writers made a good joke at the expense of any good roleplay. Pretty much sums up all of Fallout 4's quest writing tbh.

If you read terminal in this restaurant it will be clear that the prompt for Mr Handies was written in unclear way. Because of that their AI misunderstood job requirements
