So I found out, so I completed my Atrium the way I wanted, looks like the atrium is designed to be small, meaning both ends pieces need to meet, so I had to get creative as I was adding an atrium my already existing vault with a lot of work done, so after the fact. That been said, I managed to trick in a few ways to get it done using floors as a roof, looks, pretty sweet. if I didn't watch your video I honestly wouldn't of bothered with an atrium at all, it looked fine without one, but does look a little bit better now .. I will post a video when I am done, I now have a nice very large and wide atrium that fits in with my balcony and patio office over looking my Vault ..

I hate the fact that they're so wide - never seen a vault atrium 7 cells wide. The end caps didn't need to be two cells wide at the bottom, or at least you should have been able to attach loose walls to turn the ends into corners. If you have 20 people in your vault, you don't need an atrium the size of a shopping mall.

Its a great tutorial but I just preferred to not use the prefabs as they were a pain in my final design.

I know this is an old vid. I am replaying FO4. I would like to expand my atrium ceiling by one (1) space. I have yet to find anything that will fill in the middle ceiling space. Do the atrium pieces only connect to atrium pieces? Thank you.

Nice... awkward bits.... My roblem is that I made one too wide, so the top bits don't touch each other, leaving me with about a 3 chunk wide gap by the top, that starts half way through a section.... And am I nuts, or is the vault door chunk a huge pain?

This was Great! but theres one issue, i cant find a way to attach, lets say the diner or nursery from the atrium. for some reason they dont snap/connect. am I missing something here?

Try adding a hallway with just floor pieces then connecting your Diner/Clinic at the end. Then find the wall pieces and roof that snap to your hallway floor to fill in the gaps

Just look at the yellow line on corners'r floor on 2nd floor and see how wrong you did it. Atrium chapter has a lot of missed items. It allows to build almost simple boxes. Its impossible to build normal door in the corner with correct yellow merges... its impossible to build second floor wider then first (no horisontal edge between top floor and bottom wall)... it's impossible to snap levelled floor with door in the conner (you get missed ceiling or missed top wall ) and so on and so on

Yes but I would leave one dimension 6 for the side parrellel with the roof. Example 6x3, 6x6, 6x9. You could double the size with a 6x6 or make a long barn 6x9 and up
