It is currently December 23rd 2020 Current version 1.34 ps4 I have just retested this and can confirm it still works I have no idea about other versions all i know is 1.34 ps4 version still works

I think it is really important to mention that YOU MUST NOT have trade routes linked to your settlement at this point, because if it's the case, this process will consume your whole junk and ressources stock! Also, use the bed just before doing it to gain more XP with the "well rested" temporary perk. And make sure you quicksaved before beginning the exploit, you never know if something goes wrong you can still recover your game.

@@scoutraptor5374 Well... I think it does. But you can use the command console on PC, so there is no real point using the glitch if you want to gain extra XP.

i know you probably don’t know or won’t reply, but what if i made a supply line to boston airport to build the institute relay, but then destroyed boston airport with the institute?

@@dannylivingston790 Well the Boston Airport settlement will be inaccessible to you if you go against the BoS I think. I can't tell for sure because I never aligned with the Institute. But I think you might recover it when you'll destroy the Prydwen. I would suggest to move your junk away from Airport before going against the BoS. Ada can carry a lot if you got the automatron branch unlocked.

Works Jan. 9th 2021 Pro tip: tapping right on the dpad also builds it without the need to transfer items between characters

Letting your companion reach full weight capacity as well allows you to attempt to trade any item you’re highlighting without giving it away and it’ll still work too.

Just did it July 11th 2021 works great. I would add you have to do the first and second mission to get the robot workbench and the mods from some of the robot enemies during the second mission. Like Gary said in the video have 2 torso mods. Also when crafting and gaining XP just keep going don't exit out... I exited out and went back in and it had consumed my extra mod.

Its 31th Dec 2020 and I camt get it. The trade screen wont pop up with the other screen but when I leave the workshop the trade screen appears

What I did is put my companion close to the robot workbench, ask my companion trade and then quickly turn around and hit the robot thing. Click anyone ( the mod has to be in the workshop) pick codsworth for example. The workstation might open first then the trade. I was level 39 and with this I was able to go to level 156. Don’t do it for longs period of time Bc I think after 30-45 minutes the game might crash. It’s better to finish the automatron quest line so you could have backups

Works as of July 2021! Edit: Works-ish at least for me, I was working and I've been doing it for a bit and got maybe like about 50k xp, but after I reached level 79 it just stays at level 79 even after my xp bar gets full and I level up but just says I'm still at level 79. Rip me

Yes, It will consume the mod. The only reason i was using that torso mod is because thats the mod i had available that was worth the most xp. But be careful what mods you use as some will crash the game for example the sentry bot front actuator frame mod crashes my game.
