Fallout 76 - Elder's Mark Has Potential
It's time to test Elder's Mark, a named weapon that is part of season 13. It's a submachine gun with the legendary effects, Furious, Faster Fire Rate, Faster reload. It also has the cursed effects of faster weapon speed(fire rate), increased damage, lower durability.

The faster fire rate with Furious has definitely been an issue for a while. That server lag makes a big difference when it's trying to calculate furious. I've noticed a huge gap between public servers and private ones. Great review of this one!

Works well in Daily Ops where you are not engaging tanky enemies (mostly) at long ranges.

I wouldn't do AA, since the armor piercing + tank killer you're at what... 96% where the AA perk reduces differently. Then get a damage boosting one star on it.

Thx you for the review. I was thinking of changing my QE handmade to this but what makes me hesitate is the range. I mainly use tesla and its already a short range weapon. Sadly gotta let this one go as its just a weight in my stash

Range can be 100 without suppressor. It is a good choice on 25 less ap vats oriented Tommy guns.

I wonder why Furious isn't your favorite furious is absolutely awesome and one of the better Traits it gives you increase damage as long as you stay on target That's absolutely amazing And one of my favorites

I'm not a fan of Furious because you aren't getting the maximum benefit until the 10th shot on the same target. Most stuff tends to be dead before then. Other effects like Aristocrat's or Anti-armor give you the max benefit from the very first shot. I'm not saying that Furious is bad, I just don't consider it a top tier effect.

I've heard the tommy gun is best for commando DPS or at least very competitive. BUT - only if you're really close to your enemies. It's only (but significant) downfall is its terrible range.

SMG is a sleeper weapon for sure - and you're right, the range is the biggest downside. Elders Mark with a decent roll will be a great boss killer.

Idk man, with a bloodied stealth commando build this looks like it will surpass the fixer/handmade especially with the armor piercing receiver

It might get to a point where it would match it in terms of damage but the range will keep it from being a replacement for those guns.

Taking vats accuracy over extra fire rate is dumb in my opinion because I would want the most dps out of a weapon. I may install the game just to check this out though but im definitely using prime receiver because of the sheer amount of ammo per craft difference and getting flux is very easy nowday's.

I was using it in events yesterday where stealth is broken. It did fine but used more ammo since I wasn't doing sneak damage.

My assumption is that explosive wouldn't be affected by the additional cursed damage but it wasn't something I tested, so I can't be sure.

Explosive dmg is effected by the explosive perk I know for sure. It’s also effected by the perk that effects radius. Tbh a AA EXPLOSIVE with another decent perk is nasty😂😂😂 Definitely a roll you want

Tried it on my build and it couldnt compete with my homemade rifle quad 25% ffr and thats my off gun since the AA is far to slow n low mag to even keep up but theyre both lacking in mag
