Fallout 76 Hacks - Build Underground, Merging

Tutorial: this tutorial will show you how to build underground. You'll also see how to merge items to create a transport method to get underground.
You can receive the Symptomatic from Daily Ops, after reaching level 50, or you can purchase it with gold bullion from Minerva in game.

First of all, this was a very easy and concise guide to follow. As someone who's constructed an underground camp in the Cranberry Bog, they can add a new dimension to fun and creativity. So I'm happy to see more people making tutorials to make them. The only piece of advice I would offer with regard to your video - and I mean this with all due respect - I would suggest you open everything you will need prior to recording the video. Then you can easily find them under the 'recent' tab instead of spending a lot of time cycling through your building inventory. (Otherwise you could just edit out all of that searching.) But thanks for this video and I'm going to check out your other tutorials.

Good video i personally usually use "My personal terminal" for this since i find it way smoother to get in, but these are good too

The second part seems to have been patched. However, with the first part if you just crouch you should be able to put in a second stairs and go from there.

I had my base like this and accidently removed the floor mat holding my trumpet now I can't get back down :( I tried doing what you did here but constantly no matter what says Furniture Blocked

Did you delete the stairs and try putting it all back down? Furniture blocked should only happen on one side of the stairs

You can't use the Collectrons station to go under the map. You have to use an item that physically moves your character. Systematic, personal terminal, instruments, rides, etc.

I had a fashnaught camp but could never drop it so I moved it back a little and now when I try to drop the stairs down, it says that my appliance is blocked when I try to get into it. @@ShamelessTrouble

@@TheTrueMac only if you remove the floor as well, just like above ground, you must have stairs attach to 2nd floor floors

@@TheTrueMac you don't have to have a foundation/stairs, you can use roofs for floor pieces, then delete the wall and floor attached to the roof. Are you on ps5, I could show you?

HOWEVER, a video on that and some other unique building tricks would be really helpful. If you want to use floors, you have to have stairs, but I think you could make Anywhere stairs and not attach them to a foundation. I've never tried it, but in theory it would work. See my video, Anywhere 1/2 walls, walls, and stairs. kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4aQZKyJacZ5rNEsi=B_brp17I_mseIw7P

I'm having trouble with the foundation. It won't let me remove everything before the last block. It says structure is inaccessible. The only way I can remove the foundations is to start with the end piece, which is the only piece I need to stay.

Put a doorwall and flat roof on the end piece, then change the roof to sloped. Delete the doorwall and change the roof back to flat. Then you can put you generator on top of the roof piece and delete everything else.

Couldn't you have just toggled the camera view so it was free roam? Instead of building a symptomatic?

Make sure your pressure plate is just put out, no one steps on it, you connect it to power and the green light is on. Then you place the mat on it and click it continuously. What's not working? What does it do? What system are you on ps/xbox/pc?

Yes once you have a platform to stand on you can remove all the symptomatic stuff. Just keep the stairs, flooring, and the one foundation piece that's above ground

Did you get those new generators in the atom shop? They are perfect, they look nice if you don't want to hide them and they are small so if you do want to hide them, it's easier! Check out my "hide wiring" videos, there are 2 of them that give many options to do so.

Shelters don't have an "underground", they aren't on the "map" and are in a separate instance, so you can't do this in a shelter

Be mindful when doing this. You can be banned for this if a player reports your camp. Bethesda view it as "an exploit to reach inaccessible areas of the map which violates EULA."

I appreciate the information, could you show me where it states this? The building area isn't a circle, but a Cylinder, 4 stories above ground and 4 stories under. I don't understand why they would give us 4 stories underground (still within build area) if this wasn't allowed. If you try to build 5 stories underground, it gives you the error that you're out of the build area.

@ShamelessTrouble I opened a support ticket and asked. Betheada gave me that answer as well as a link to the user agreements and code of conduct. There's 4 stories underground due to how it was coded, not because they expected people to utilize it.

Typical pathetic Methesda response to ban someone for an oversight of their own doing that causes no harm lol. I say do it anyway, screw them. Shout-out to Captain Buzzkill 😂 This type of merging and settlement exploitation has existed since Fallout 4. Not a single person has ever been banned for building underground. The only thing that can potentially happen as a result of building underground is that if Bethesda ever updates that portion of the map, you may have to rebuild.

Underground camps can be really cool, but I've run into too many trap camps and lost hours of junk grinding because of them, so I don't trust any camp I can't see. Though, I also don't trust some camps I can see, but that's a separate matter since I can judge that before entering.

I use underground to hide generators and to put Skirting/underpinnings on house builds. I've never really made an underground base, and I've never seen an underground base that was a trap camo either lol. Happy holidays!
