Small correction, you just have to nuke the region anywhere for the boss event to spawn. Coming from the lead designer himself, the nuke sort of "mutates the storm" to put it in rough wording. Which means no nuke zone radius, and no radiation. This causes a region-wide intensified storm for a couple of minutes as well as the boss spawning

I'm from Virginia. I can't understand why Bethesda chose to ignore the most famous cave system in the area, the tourist trap, the Luray Caverns. If you go to the park then you go to the Luray caverns. You don't go almost an hour away to the natural bridge. That's like setting a Fallout in Paris and not including the Eiffel Tower.

I'm from Front Royal, 20 minutes from the caverns, neither Front Royal or Luray Va are in the game, I believe the game cuts off at the Shenandoah River right outside of Front Royal Va. I could be wrong but I remember looking into this before they added NPCs to the game.

As someone from the Valley I’m so glad Shenandoah was finally able to get some love from the Fallout universe. Although I highly doubt it, I’d love to see them expand into some of the small cities in the area as they contain notable universities and beautiful landmarks.

The “valley” extends all the way south through Tennessee to the gap at Chikamauga, Ga. At one point, it was the bread basket of the entire country, being the primary source of wheat and flower. There are towns in the valley that changed hands once or twice a month during the American civil war. You will not find a more wide spread blood soaked stretch of earth anywhere in the country.

Yeah. With JMU making the headlines for their basketball and football teams, it would be cool if the campus was added to the game map. It's right in between the Shenadoah national park and were the game's map currently ends. So it would be a fun Easter egg for anyone who went to school their or lives in the area.

There's a secret Bunker below Rapidan Camp that is an Enclave Base, seems abandoned but Idk maybe they use it for future enclave content. Also, in that bunker there are 3 signs 2 of them say "Raven Rock" and "Poseidon Oil Rig" respectively but the third one says "Norfolk Naval Base" so basically they confirmed there's another Enclave Base in Norfolk

On release I played with my co worker and we had some fun banter, but the overall product was lacking heavily. I stopped playing and came back these last 2 weeks. I’m now having a blast. Starting fresh and exploring, doing side quests finding power armors randomly, making my camp and killing scary effed up monsters is fun. Also finding a random player in the wild and emoting to say hi is a small cute function that can lead to a big journey across the waste. If Bethesda keeps up the good work this game can be known for its comeback rather it’s unbaked launch.

I got it last year. All the updates have made it a essentiallly complete game. The auestline is pretty long and you’ll easily be 50 plus after finishing the campaign and some side quests, ignoring all the online stuff.

The whole taking a chemical to avoid going feral doesn't really make sense with the lore or the games. There are definitely plenty of times where a non-feral ghoul has said they don't know why they didn't go feral.

It's a fine addition. It doesn't negate lore prior. It's something they could add as a gameplay/RPG element in future games. It would be fun to play as ghoul.

I think it's more of like, there's different types of ghouls. Some need meds, some don't. Some show signs of being feral, but aren't quite yet. What doesn't make sense is how would they even know to get chems, where do these chems come from, etc.

Yes, no cross-progression is the thing that's kept me from trying to Fallout 76. Phil Spencer, who plays Fallout 76, recently mentioned the lack of cross-progression as an annoyance, so I'm hopeful they'll eventually give us cross-progression.

Isn't this technically the first proper physical expansion of a core map... ever, in any Fallout game, even? Sure, all three previous installments got DLC, but they were always stuck in their own dedicated area, outside of a slight change to the overworld itself to access the travel. No DLC ever just made the main world itself physically larger in a noteworthy amount.

Ghoul feralization is not newly introduced by the amazon series. It’s at least in FO4 (read the terminals for how and why) and is demonstrated in game as some ghouls are feral and some not.

It would be the second largest Vault, with vault 0 being the largest Another note: the weather machine is almost certainly pre war, without a doubt a US government machine utilizing the same weather altering tech from the big mountain facility's from NV. The storm titans, along with the rest of the tech looks straight out of big mountain. The titans having massive brains in them is really reminiscent of the myriad brain related projects from them. with them being mentioned once again in the show maybe that's what they are going for.

Use perk cards and/or sell scrap. You don't need more than a few hundred pounds of it total.

Simply put, you got a hoarding issue. What you need to ask yourself: Do you *actually* need everything you got and carry? Because if we are going to be honest, you most likely don't. For Junk, you probably don't need more than 100 to 150 for most items (loose gears,screws and springs probably need more, as does steel and wood), you don't need 40 weapons when you only end up using 3 to 5 regular in the first place, and you don't need to stockpile all those unneeded legendaries for scrip because you'll get enough legendaries that you're end up close to the scrip cap every day anyways. Stimpaks or other chems? You also don't need that many of most of them. Food and water? Unless you prefer to keep the buffs you get from being hydrated and fed, you can fully ignore that. And if you don't, 10 to 20 bottles of pure water and a few pieces of food are plenty, especially if you produce more in your camp. And of course things you carry on your person can be made lighter with the right perks, and mods increase capacity. It's a management aspect, simple as that. Personally, I lug around most of my ammo and weapons on my person, and carry about 180 to 200 pounds for actually used gear - with a capacity of 500.

my biggest issue why i stopped playing was balancing that i always felt i had to have the meta power armor builds to have fun or have the perfect legendary drops and grinding for that took me out of the game

Fallout 4 running on High setting in 100fps on my PC but Fallout 76 is constantly stuttering specially if there is some buildings in my view, even on lowest settings. Yeah it's "16 times the detail" and online but it is still technically clone of Fallout 4. Where is the optimization?
