One of my favorite places to run through from time to time is the Charleston Capitol Building, mainly because I go through a lot of screws, It has 12 typewriters and a set of other items with screws like hotplates, desk fans, and globes. So if you're hurting for screws, it's good to give a sweep from time to time, and the only thing you run into is feral ghouls. Otherwise, all of these are top-tier choices. Though to note in your forest trifecta, Aaronholt homestead is an important one as it's a location to get cranberries near the start of the game, You can make Cranberry Cobblers, somthing you start the game knowing, which give you an XP bonus. Later you can find a recipe for Cranberry Relish, which is one of the best XP foods.

No Sugar Grove? Also, don't underestimate the Whitesprings Refuge. It might not have a lot, but what it has is good stuff AND it's an instanced space, so it's always all yours. Most notably, 3 microscopes, 2 desk fans, a bunch of clipboards and aluminum trays, scissors, 15 bowling pins(30 plastic right there), 2 teddy bears, 2 teapots, and a bunch of board games. It's a reliable place you should be going to anyway for the daily quest, plus with FO1st, there's a scrapbox inside and without, you can go straight into the mall.

I always go to sugar Grove but whitesprings tends to crash on certain consoles (xboxone). Only reason I left it off the list.

@@Spenn45 The interior spaces? I ask because I often play on a hand-me-down ps4 and while yes, the exterior is basically the same, the interior spaces, particularly the instanced ones, are rarely an issue.

@@Lordoftheapes79 Interior too, I started going to Nuka World and Foundation for most needs. I did upgrade my system recently and haven't had the same problem. The big trouble spots on xbox were Charleston, Titan, and whitesprings. Is that the same on ps?

@@Spenn45 Charleston can be a problem for anyone. The world terrain there is poorly optimized. On the PS4 I'm ok at the Whitesprings...mostly. It can get rough if it's been nuked on that server, but for all interior spaces, I'm fine, as long as I let it sit for a minute after loading in. Same goes for Foundation and Nuka World, but any events at Nuka World are basically a guaranteed crash.

Morgantown Airport is the best place to get stim packs and medicines many available in this area :)

@@robhav11 When the free trial comes back it gives you scrapbox and ammo container, then spend that week going ham on collecting, it will set you up for a long time. I did that with my PS character.

Honestly as someone that pays for fo1st, the unlimited stashes and survival tents should be free to play. 1st should be purely cosmetic and maybe better xp, but not having an unlimited stash in a game based around stashing stuff makes it borderline pay to play

Anywhere that looks like a log cabin on the map will have 1-2salt. The generals steakhouse is the best. There's like 8-10 there. Another good one is the red rocket truck stop up top right on the map. And Hemlock at the top left. Anywhere you see a diner type place with booths and kitchen. Acid is easy. Hemlock has a workshop with 3 acid extractors. Or you can go down to the bottom right to the trainyard and kill like 6 snallygasters for a good amount

I actually have my camp in what you call the Trifecta and I find it pretty handy. I put it there pretty early on and have never really found a need to move it. It's nice to go loot then be right by camp.

I usually place a camp there whenever I start a new character. Good loot, early access to bobbleheads and magazines and no need to place down crops saving on camp budget.

If you have the scrapper perk on anytime you scrap weapons you will double the steel from that weapon. One of the best to scrap for steel are mole miner gauntlets.

Do you have Scraper perk card? What level is your intelligence? Both will affect the amount of scrap you get.
