@spark556 I preordered and went to the midnight release. 4 days I spent resetting my console, reinstalling, trying different tvs, new cables, creating support tickets, posting on forums. I wanted nothing more than for the game to be playable. I was persistent enough to get a refund for my disc, many sadly werent so lucky. I will never, ever buy fallout 76 again, or any exclusively online game for that matter. That is my protest. Im physically sick of software as a service and lack of repairability. I'd rather not game at all if thats where its going, Im 32, and I have better things to do anyway. I trusted bethesda. I have played their games religiously for 20 years, I am a loyal fan, but that release shaped me as a gamer and as a consumer forever. Ive played more daggerfall and spent less on xbox live since 76 released than I had ever in my life and Ive never been happier so I suppose it was a positive experience overall. Maybe that was the point?.. 🤔

Dude Fallout 4 came out in 2015. They released Fallout 76 in 2018, so, many resources have been allocated to that game. Other franchises have long periods between major titles. If it's going to use a new engine, of course it's still early for Fallout 5 imo.

@@bellagothz First of all, the Series Season 2 is far ahead maybe another 1.5 years so no one should've expected anything substancial if anything at all. Fallout 76 is the ONLY current up to date Fallout Game. Everyone knows there isn't any other Fallout game in development, FO5 is at least 10-15 years ahead, as sad and long it might sound, it's the reality... BGS isn't a thousand man studio, they are fully invested into Starfield and TES6. And even TES6 is at least 5 years away... So how tf can someone expect ANYTHING else than the current Fallout game, Fallout 76 😅 please enlighten me. Also they SAID it's for celebration, celebration streams usually don't cover ANY NEWS on the games but rather appreciate and celebrate the franchise. They also said there will be news for FO76, so that was to be expected, nothing else.

For someone who absolutely loves the Fallout franchise but hates Fallout 76, this showcase was a nothing burger for me. But then again its everything that I was expecting from them. Fallout 76 is gaining some popularity and Bethesda wants to keep that fire going. And I wasn't expecting anything major announcements either, because knowing BGS' its way too soon for them to announce anything major on Fallout. ps. One thing I don't like about Bethesda's Fallout is that under Bethesda's umbrella they've turned this grim and dark universe into wacky silly fun place. I've always had and issue with that, and it seems to get even worse over the years. I miss the grim atmosphere this franchise had prior to Bethesda. pss. Still no official mention about Fallout London from Bethesda. It would have been nice for Bethesda to commendate FO London team for their "mod" on this very 1st Fallout day showcase. But nah, I suppose that BGS is quite salty that someone managed to make better Fallout game that they could.

@@Synchro789 no that’s not it at all Bethesda are currently in post launch support for starfield and making TES 6 they are capable they just need time. Game development timelines have ballooned in recent years due to the complexity of game engines and ambition. The days of pumping out a game in 18 months akin to nv are over. Bethesda or cannot afford to rush a fallout game out the door again like they did with 76. I do however agree that maybe another studio could come in and make an expansion for fallout 4 or something just to bridge a long gap between games

Huge Fallout fan and although I'm not into Fallout 76 myself, I respect those who like it. That being said, this stream should not have been marketed as a "Fallout Day Broadcast" when the only thing that it showcases is Fallout 76 content. I used to be the biggest Fallout and Bethesda fan in the world… Now I’m just waiting for Wayward Realms and hoping for some new post apocalyptic series that hasn’t lost the plot. I am so deeply sad you can’t understand it Bethesda, I personally just ask you to go back to what made us love you, go back to Morrowind and see what you did right, look at the first fallout games, go see why people love New Vegas, replicate that. We don’t care about graphics or anything gimmicky, we want roleplay and better writers.

I really hope they stop with levelled enemies and creatures. I want unique adversaries not “legendary” ones. A deathclaw should just be impossible for a low level and difficult for a high level player it shouldn’t scale. Fallout 3/NV nailed it.

I'm very supportive of the cause for St. Jude, but with exception to bits of this, this was overall very underwhelming and i think Bethesda didn't understand the attention they wrangled up just for this to be mostly additions for 76 and Fallout Shelter. Love that there's a Fallout day, not a fan of how it went. Really dislike all the lore breaks. Doubling down on ghouls not needing to eat from Fallout 4 was dumb, and now just like super mutants, ghoulification can be cured too? Makes no sense and sets a bad precedent. Also, whole thing was really a letdown, just a few 76 updates. It looks neat but it's still underwhelming, not the celebration Fallout deserves.

The cure is for players who tried out the Ghoul gameplay, but wanted to go back to being a regular human character without having to scrap the character and start over again. There's plenty of games that allow a player to reassign skill points/powers (aka respec) or change their character's race/species, such as STO. It didn't change the lore, it just gives the player more options.

@@bryanabbott6169 I understand respec mechanics and its purpose in the game, that isn't the point. Bethesda can do one of 2 things here. Either 1, you're correct and it will be a race you can swap to seamlessly, with the implication being that you becoming a ghoul actually never happened. Or 2, I am right and you go through a series of events or short quest involving finding a cure, with the implication being that you WERE a ghoul and reverted back to being a human. If this ends up being the case, it is awful for the lore of the franchise, regardless of how it functions in game.
