The fans need to understand nothing is instant!!! BAMA has been my team since the 70’s. We have had ups and downs. This current dynasty did not happen overnight. Saben has rewritten the college football book. Kirby is currently writing a chapter in that book! Back your program win, loose or draw!!! ROLL TIDE!!!

Arkansas fan here, just have to say we know EXACTLY how it feels to have a coach the fanbase didn't want and who doesn't fit the culture. Kelly is a helluva lot better than Morris, though. Keep calm and see how much the team improves in the next three weeks. That being said, I would freak out too if players start leaving.

From an LSU fan who was at this heartbreaker of a game, thanks for the level headed take on this situation. They played like trash and honestly this should have been a blowout. The FSU players had a fire in them that the LSU squad lacked. Hopefully things will get better from here. Keep up the great videos FM!

This was probably the best outcome. Mike Norvell has been at FSU for 2 years and hasn't been close to competitive. He NEEDED that win. Brian Kelly is brand new at LSU and comes in with as much cache as anybody coaching in college. He could afford that loss. Great game. Great ending.

Come on LSU fans you guys have to know your still rebuilding, that’s rediculous to expect a new coach to walk in and what turn a program around before he’s even had his own recruiting class, give the guy a break, even the nfl gives players/coaches a season or 2 to fig it out.

I think you are a nice guy and descibed the situation very diplomatically. Of course, we expect Alabama people to be civil and gracious. The Flagship of the SEC. However, LSU looked undiciplined and unprepaired to play. I thought the targeting on FSU quarterback was vicious and malicious.
@dwalke262 жыл бұрын
I saw some of the end of the game, and the fact they were able to put themselves in a position to mount a comeback says something. I’m sure it was frustrating for the LSU fans, but you gotta give the guy a chance, it’s not like they lost to Georgia State, like we (TN) did under our previous coach. I think they will be fine in the long run, it’s gonna take time for things to gel under a new coach, so they need to be patient with him.
@oldguy90782 жыл бұрын
When LSU hired Brian Kelly I was thinking this is just not a good fit for LSU maybe it will work out for them maybe it won't but they have to give Kelly a couple of seasons to prove himself. LSU can't afford to pay Kelly his buy out and hire another coach at the same time. Time will tell. Also you will have to see how Kelly recruits next season he is now coaching players he did not recruit that can be a problem also. If LSU loses players and fan support this will become a dumpster fire quick.

Lsu fan, love the common sense you brought to this conversation. LSU is literally rebuilding everything from our HC, coordinators, players, recruits, etc. It’s going to take TIME. And while it truly sucks to wait while the rest of our rivals excel and we’re poked fun at, it’ll pay off if BK gets the job done. And I think he will!
@kennethbailey66342 жыл бұрын
All of that is nonsense. The head coach should have gotten the special teams coach blasted. I don't mean fired. But the offense and defense is already clicking. How many times do we see this stupid stuff at the end if a game. If you have a time out,use it. You can't get the extra point and field goal blocked. That's losing a game looking stupid.

Look… Saban lost to UAB, Miles gave up a 21 point lead against Tennessee at home, and Orgeron lost to Troy. You can go read the same comments from those losses. I like Kelly - and all these ND fans who keep showing up in SEC fan spaces to act like crazy ex girlfriends are making me want him to succeed even more. I do want other LSU fans to chill towards our players though. Malik Nabors mom having to limit her posts, the whole team has basically turned off comments, and of course, Kayshon. When our own recruiting staff is having to remind people that our player’s mental health is more important than a single game... C’mon now… They’re kids. They’re talented kids. They’re kids who want this team to propel them to the NFL. They’re kids who wake up and bust their ass, they go to class, they go to lunch, they go bust their ass at practice, and go out there with all that weight on their shoulders… they’re fkn kids! I get it. We name our pets after these players, we have a closet full of ex-LSU players’ NFL jerseys, but this shit does NOT mean more to us than them. We especially need to lift them up after a bad game. And Coach Kelly ain’t going anywhere. Unless you have $90 mil sittin around in a gumbo pot, get that thought out of your head. That is what it will cost you.

If I was a drunken LSU fan, I'd be calling for the special teams coordinator's head. Not Brian Kelly's. It's his first game... But I do think you're right about fans not being excited by him in the first place. They've been trying to psyche themselves up for it since January and just can't seem to get there. It's been one of those weird, "Yeah, I know he's an accomplished coach with a solid resume, but dammit I was told we were getting Lincoln Riley!" type things.

Coach Kelly’s body language from the first interview when they came out the tunnel told me they should’ve hired Napier(they didn’t even offer him). Hands in pockets. His body language told me he was uncertain of how things would go and it certainly didn’t exhume confidence. He was trying to sell himself on those around him and lacked it in himself. It was a terrible bluff. It’s also a pretty prideful stance to have. I’m throwing the season away. I’m optimistic that they’ll improve, but other things going on in the world make football the least of things to worry about. Buy and store food. Winter is coming. If you live in Europe, you’re screwed.

It is the first game. I didn’t really like what Kelly had to say after the first half but you don’t just get Championship teams in the first season. It took Saban a couple years to get Alabama to the dynasty it is today. Kirby smart seems to be on the right track at Georgia. I say just give it some time. Maybe things will turn around but maybe not, we’ve all seen new hire coaches become disasters. People thought Dan Mullen was gonna bring back Florida to the Urban Meyer Tim Tebow national championship days but that wasn’t the case

Boutte scrubbing his social media had nothing to do with leaving via portal, it had everything to do with he didn’t want everyone coming at him on social media about the game since the entire team had to remain focused on their next game. @JohnSmith-zr9by2 жыл бұрын
Brian Kelly understands how to call plays and what defenses to use against an offense but much like the former UGA and Miami head coach, Mark Richt, he has always focused on game plan and not ensuring he had taught the basic fundamentals long before game time and corrected mistakes during the game. What sets Nick Saban apart from everyone else is that he starts with the very basics and fundamentals of sound position discipline and continues to coach and stress the fundamentals. It sounds simple, but not many others do that very well at it. You can see that same technique now used by UGAs Kirby Smart and he definitely got that from Saban and it's why Georgia is finally becoming successful. Obviously recruiting talented players is huge but recruiting will always be better when recruits know their coach will teach and develop them in order to be prepared for the next level. The two feed each other. Both Kelly and Richt always had a pretty decent amount of talent but never developed them very well and stressed the fundamentals. I can see Kelly making LSU a 9-10 win program again, but not winning it all unless he can go back and start stressing the fundamentals.
